From my view, if we get Ego - 5, Wright 4, Fobbs 4, and Moses 4, and Wing can get at least 2 stars, we could end up around 5.

This might not end up as the flashy class everyone hoped for, but I think there are a couple of guys that can provide depth and possibly play early.

Here's how I see it: this year's class will most likely have a lot of kids redshirt. Next year's class looks to be unreal and should have a good number of early contributors (if given a chance). These two classes, when combined and looked at in terms of when the players will most likely contribute, looks great to me. Just my thoughts.

great point, about Marsh and evaluation of talent.

You will observe some two star and three star guys will be taken in the first round of the NFL draft.

1. people improve on technique, get bigger, learn their position.

2. some 5 star guys never make it to the pro's. only about 1/4 of the 5 star guys will play in the NFL.

People are actually complaining about 'only' getting a top ten class? Shows how absolutely spoiled and bitchy some of our fans are. It's gotten pathetic

Good point, but do you really think it's a top 10 class?

Our class is awesome. Considering the resent drop in play I couldn't be happier and prouder to have them.

Yeah, I really do think it is a top 10 class. We got so many early commits that we tended to not get the continuous rush of a new signee. Vinson, Reid, Simone, Washington, Welker, Lee, Marsh, the ***** Cincy Kid............ are players. We will be fine with this class.

Every recruiting service seems to think so, by a noticeable margin.

Regardless of final ranking, there are some kids here that everyone should be excited about:
Reid/Simon/Vinson/Mathieu is a pretty dang good DB recruiting class. Put them with Clairbourne from last year with Cooper coaching and that looks very promising.
On offense Evan Washington looks great as does Dickson.
With regards to RB, both Gore and Ware absolutely tore up their very tough high school competition. Along with Ford from last year you've got 3 RB who dominated the best competition in South Florida, Ohio, and La. Not too shabby.

absolutely no way we end up with a top 5 class. You name all these guys that are still considering us and possibly jumping up, but do you think all the other teams around us are just going to stop signing people?

Florida, bama, texas, USC, Oklahoma will all definitely have better classes than us, so top 5 is out of the question. We will be lucky to stay in the top 10 and I'll be happy with that. Well strike that, I don't care what we're ranked, but I'll be happy with our class as long as mathieu and simon qualify.

The class is not bad, but is a little lower than what we've been signing the past 2 or 3 years.

really? Rivals ranking 08- 11

most people are saying 9-12, you say 8-10..... so sounds rt at what we have been signing the past 2-3 years.

The recruiting has been very good...its the coaching thing that bothers me a bit. Hopefully we can ge this offense geared up for next season. With the talent, there is no excuse....except maybe at quarterback...we shall see.

Absolutely not.

Too busy courting all the marquis prospects. Games are won in the trenches.

As long as we have Worle and Washington playing sometime soon i'm satisfied with this class. Worle is a damn assassin from the FB position. Watching his video, he reminds of Hester, except a pissed off version that likes to level people.

with Ware running behind those two, we might actually revert to being a strong running team again.

I think we were spoiled by last year's class, but Ware and Marsh both shot up after the Army game. Good point earlier about us being able to evaluate talent.

It should be interesting in the next 1 and 1/2 weeks. I think we will have a couple of disappointments and a few surprises and end up well.
