I wish I could give you more than one upvote Ice Cold. I've been saying this for a long time. I see both sides of the coin: I get why the players do it and don't blame them for taking the opportunity however there needs to be some regulation in place and hopefully some education on their part on how to properly manage their money. You can't think of the moment; you gotta think about your future and the NFL isn't guaranteed.

so if you were offered the same job at a different company for double the salary you would turn it down......? The fact is we dropped the ball with NIL and apparently didnt learn anything after the early signing period.

College and professional football fandom was on an uphill climb not long ago. I seriously see it turning the other way around.

No it won’t. They aren’t interested in an education. They want big bucks while they’re in school and big bucks when they go to the NFL. They don’t care where it comes from, they are just here for the bucks. The schools get rich from all the TV and bowl money, the athletes are now demanding a piece of the pie. It was inevitable and it will get worse from the college fan’s perspective.

It's almost always a bad idea to make a decision that big based solely on money.

Maybe in south Louisiana like ponchatula.

Nice spelling Leroy. Yes even here. I have said before that there are certain people for sale in Tangipahoa Parish. I told everyone here that when they were crying over the Alabama raid of North Tangi. A certain segment have been for sale here forever. The Edwards family has been buying votes in this Parish for generations.

I have told you all this as far back as august. That is what was on the ground here. He wanted to go to LSU and his mom wanted him to go to A&M. I guess we will see who wins.

So what happens when they don't produce on the field? What happens if they get beat out and start bitching about lack of playing time to develop so they can get to the NFL? This is what I mean by it will back fire on them, by signing just for the quick money. Some of these kids are seeing the dollars today and not seeing what they can become and the potential dollars tomorrow.
