So you're saying Etienne is not LSU caliber...eh okay. We'll agree to disagree on this one. I feel you should get the top kids in the state first, and if you can get talent from out-of-state, great.

LSU didn't offer Prescott because he stunk it up at LSU camps back to back years. Obviously that turned out to be a misevaluation but lets not act like he had big time programs knocking down his door either. State is trash
Well, apparently Mississippi State early on saw something the geniuses (Cam Cameron and Les Miles) at LSU didn't. And now Dak Prescott is playing well in the NFL. So my point remains - it WAS stupid not offering Prescott a scholly as a QB until it was far too late.

Forgive me, El Guapo. I do not have your superior knowledge or education. But, could it be, that you are upset about something else (*), and are looking to take it out on me?
Look you moonbat, don't humor yourself, as I didn't even pay attention to whom I was posting too, and in fact, I could care less who the hell you are.
Moreover, big deal I mixed up Allen and Taylor, I have been mixing up those two players ever since I first found out about them for some odd reason I can't explain, but nevertheless I'm human and like all humans I occasionally make errors from time to time, not many thank God, I'm generally pretty good about that. Unlike you who believes that he is omnipotent almighty God and therefore is always absolutely perfect and completely flawless.
And as far as being clueless goes, you must have me mixed up in your completely flawless mind with someone else, because I don't post unless I know what I'm talking about unlike you, who doesn't know crap.

I honestly have no idea how Juluke can keep a job going forward with his recruiting so far. Maybe one more year to see but I haven't been overly impressed so far.

In addition, I'm not so sure that Etienne is as good as you novice talent evaluators believe he is. On top of that, there may be other issues involved that we don't know about. Anyway, he's not the first recruit we miss on and I'm sure he won't be the last. By the way, why did Clemson wait even longer than we did to make Etienne an offer?
I'm thinking about the numbers. If LA was loaded with great RBs in the 2018 class, it wouldn't be as big a deal. We needed two guys in this class, and he was the next best available. Even if he was the back up plan, he should have gotten an earlier offer to hedge against having to full court press several out of state guys next year to get 2 or 3. That takes time and resources away from other priorities.
Clemson had a highly touted RB decommit late. Their people evidently are saying that they distanced themselves due to grade issues and some fraud at his school (per an earlier post on this board).

Cam Cameron was the Ravens offensive coordinator when Dak was a HS recruit. He was three years away from being LSU's OC. Cam's first QB class was Brandon Harris.
You're operating on hindsight with Prescott. He was not a coveted recruit. State signs marginal kids all the time. In fact, that's pretty much all they do.

So if Juluke is a total failure at recruiting, then how did he convince McMath to commit to LSU, by accident?
Posted on 1/26/17 at 11:27 am to Space Cowboy
I never said total failure. I just think he hasn't earned it as a recruiter just yet.

Just like that back from Crowley, if this is the case it is very unfortunate for him. When you commit to a school because of this reason it usually ends up bad for you! Hope this is t the case and if it is I hope he really thinks about this. GT

He's LSU caliber but in reality he's not elite like Guice, Fournette, or Hill. He's more Alfred Blue and that's fine but if he lived just across the border in Texas or Miss. then his recruitment would be a lot less of a big deal

How do you know? Are you an LSU insider and know everything about the job he does? Or are you really Coach O masquerading as being someone else? Yeah right, it's easy to vilify people when you don't have a clue what's going on. Hopefully, no stupid person will ever do the same thing to you, God forbid.

Jesus man you think my opinion matters that much to anyone? It's my opinion on a random message board from what it looks like to an outsider. Did I claim that it was insider info? No, so shut the frick up.

Yea, cause guys like fournette and guice come around all the damn time

Look how high LF and guice set the bar.. now lsu fans think EVERY running back needs to be of their caliber but that just isn't realistic. People need to get some perspective and realize how spoiled we've been the past 3+ years at running back

Okay...so you admit that you were just talking out your arse about someone you don't even know, yet you were recommending that he be fired. Okay, I can accept that.
