Wiltfong talks about Maason Smith, Korey Foreman and OU on his podcast

Says he wouldn't be surprised if UGA landed both Smith and Foreman and that he thinks LSU is fading in Foremans recruitment. Says he likes where OU stands with Byrd and upps his confidence to 9, also says OU is still a major player for Leigh but Leigh will visit BR before making a decision and he still likes Leigh to LSU. Also says he does like OU for Wheaton but he feels something is holding him back, doesn't know what.Don't what how to feel about some of that at all.

We arent fading in Smith's recruitment and that's all that matters. Smith isnt going to go to UGA.
We can now recruit against a 3-man DL front and it's REALLY easy to recruit against UGA in that aspect as they haven't had a Defensive lineman drafted in the past 7 drafts.
John Jenkins was the last UGA defensive lineman drafted all the back in 2013. Kirby has been there the past 4 years and hasnt had a single defensive lineman drafted. They have no high end defensive line prospects for the 2021 draft as of now either.

smith isnt going to uga.

Slow time right now in recruiting so he’s trying to generate some buzz. Smith and Foreman aren’t a package deal despite everyone thinking that. We’re still in a great spot for Smith. Foreman has always been a long shot.

The reason Wheaton is holding back is because he’s wanting to be at LSU. Only way to talk to Wheaton is if we contact Saincilaire who is wheatons coach and apparently Faulk hasn’t done that since Kiner committed. Who knows maybe Wheaton is holding out to hopefully get a call from LSU

I'm really confused now, is Wheaton not that as high on the staffs board as we thought? Seems really weird that we wouldn't talk to his coach especially with him being a highly touted prospect and a few insiders predictions having LSU taking 2 rbs.This post was edited on 8/26/20 at 3:31 pm

I agree, I think LSU was the team that wasn't supposed to be there yesterday. Maybe that video changed his mind, and maybe one of the coaches talked to his coach/him.

This! He is no better than Mark Richt and has way more 4 and 5 stars than Richt ever had.
Rewatched the 2018 game and we destroyed them and they were not prepared for that game.
