Its a camp offer so therefore not committable. They've offered close to 15-20 qbs. Means nothing.

We haven't offered for 2 reasons that I know of. First, have to be ready to accept a commitment, as with any instate kid. We are not. Secondly, he doesn't warrant one at this time. A few I trust instate aren't even sure he's better than the Mumphrey or Fields kids. We are going to shoot for the national kids for the first spot then come back to secondary targets for the second

Maybe because we have offers out to 3 Dual threat QB's rated higher? And 3 Pro style QB's rated higher? Still, probably wouldn't hurt to offer at some point, since most of those other guys a extremely long shots.

yes I don't know why they even say he has a bama "offer". All he has is an offer (invitation) to attend a camp. He hasn't been offered a spot in their signing class. Why does 247 call this an 'offer'? If LSU gave him an invitation to attend a camp would they say he been offered by LSU?

Like we could go into Alabama and offer 25 kids right now and say only 2 are committable, Alabama can do the same here in Louisiana.

We, however, cant just hand out 25 offers in the state of LA right now because the blowback from a kid trying to commit and being told "not yet" or "come to camp" would be immense among the high school ranks.

He may be and I'm not knocking him at all, I just know a couple I trust down there that aren't sure he's even tops instate. Best profile instate but hes a secondary target so if he's the top guy in the class at the position, we missed and circled back. He could blow up and I hope so but as of now he can wait. Doubt more than 3-4 of his power offers are committable and those are mid level power schools. Not just Bama that hands out "camp" offers especially at qb. Only no brainers are takes right now. The qbs tend to go in waves therefore eliminating options. Just want to land one if those top 10-15 kids.

Have you seen him throw the ball?

If you did you would know why.

Seen him play three times last year and against Neville two years ago. He was bad. Real bad when I saw him play. Great superb athlete, but nothing close to great quarterback. They are likely offering him as an athlete. If they are offerinf him as QB he will never see the field.

I thought O said that because of the abundance of so much talent close to home that he was going to be much more judicious and selective with respect to the people who get offers from LSU this season. Did I not hear him correctly, or is it you just want to sign lower rated football players this season?

I would at least make the offer. The kid has a canon for an arm. In one of his videos he throws the football 75yds without a big set up. Accuracy on short throws is something he has to work on. But I think if you watch his videos you will come away impressed.

I don't know anything about the young man but I'm pretty tired of seeing inaccurate quarterbacks. Not knocking this young man at all... Jefferson, Harris, Jennings, then even Etling struggled to complete a short to medium pass.

He worked out at the Opening in Houston as a WR. There is a link in the Kenyon Green thread that has a good review on his performance. It was done by Sam Spiegelman of SEC Country.

Let the kid ruin his life just like Pooka and Harris then. After the shitshow embarrassment last year from New Orleans kids and coaches, LSU needs to cease all contact with any New Orleans kid who plays games with recruiting. There is no reason that behavior like that should be tolerated at this point when a bunch of low 4*’s and high 3*’s need LSU much, much more than LSU needs them.

1) These are 17/18 year old kids.
2) It's okay for them to want to go to a different school than you.

Hopefully this ends up being more like an Adams/Hootie situation and less like an Etienne/Akers or Washington/Surtain.
