Who is the odd man out at QB, if we add another?

I’ve seen a lot of smoke regarding LSU adding another QB to this class. If that’s the case and LSU lands DJ U, who is the odd man out? Do we take 3? Or do we cut ties with one of the current commits?

I suppose with the class at 25 and rumors of 5 or so more to be added, its natural to wonder who gets left out of the class.
I think the general mindset of the rant is that any such discussion is taboo because speculating which recruit might get left out could be hurtful to current verbal commits and their families and friends who read the boards.
Its a tough business when you have 30 to 35 kids you really want in your class and who want to be at LSU with only 25 spots to fill. I imagine its a very hard balancing act for the staff.

My apologies, my post wasn't intended to bash any recruit or their families. It's unfortunate but this is the process you go through when wanting to play for big time college programs. Ed O has already said they would sign the best 25. It will be interesting to see who they do cut ties with if a better QB is added to the class. I'm sure Ed O and the staff will handle things in a professional manner.

I think it's more of, the kids' themselves read these, and their is no sense in stirring the pot unless their is real smoke....
the 2 guys have been loyal to LSU and Recruiting and have assisted in recruiting as well,

I don't know that it is against any formal board rules to speculate on who gets left out of the class, it seems to be a rant thing.
The rant to me is kind of like the borg, the bad guys on star trek who had this collective consciousness where they all think alike and terminate those who are not in the borg. lol.
So when anyone posts anything about "processing" players, the borg appears and downvotes multiply.
Its pretty much the same if you write about Alleva or Tua's ankle, there are just certain things the borg flocks too.

It has always been frowned upon to speculate about a current commit being pushed out or not good enough. Especially publicly.
You don’t want fans turning a current commit off. Of course fans online should not impact the decision of a young recruit in the grand scheme of things, but you never know with these young guys. It’s not a good look.

This is a site to disseminate information. We arent going to censor it and use it as recruiting tool. Its a discussion forum and thats it.

I have a uncle who is on the Ponchatoula High coaching staff. I have a cousin who plays MISS ST, they both say the same thing,they'll be surprised if he makes it at LSU. At first I thought the board was being overly critical,but the feedback has reflected some of the things said on the board. It definitely interesting to see how the qb class plays out.
