Do you think every school that has 5*s on the roster has this mentality when recruiting QB’s. No.

Bama, tOSU, Clemson, No.

You keep recruiting the best of the best and whoever wins the job, wins the job. You never recruit down to please a future kid, because there is no guarantee he will go to your school.

You certainly have to go after the best, but even the schools you name rarely get 5-star QBs back-to-back. There is a natural "staggering" that occurs.

Does it happen? Yes, of course. But rarely do you see 5-star QBs stacked up.

For example, Clemson signed 5-star D.J. Uiagalelei in 2020. They signed a 3-star in 2021 and 5-star Klubnick in 2022.

Alabama signed 5-star Bryce Young in 2020, then 4-star Jalen Milroe in 2021. Then 5-star Simpson in 2022.

Ohio State signed 4-stars C.J. Stroud and Jack Miller in 2020, then 5-stars McCord and Ewers in 2021, then 4-star Brown in 2022. Ewers and Miller have already left, which shows the folly of stacking them up like that.

I don’t really understand this.

It’s an old way of thinking and LSU fans need to adopt a new thought process when it comes to these big time recruits. They will always bet on themselves and if LSU was already proven with this staff then I’m sure we’d see some serious interest so this is hardly over and I like them playing the long game when it comes to QBs and depth anyway.

There will likely be more QBs that show up on the radar and if the staff is successful in this first year, we could easily flip someone who isn’t happy with their original destination or someone that sees themselves being the next Joe Burrow. Just keep in touch with everyone you want and let the cards fall.

Not to say it would make the Coaches stop from getting any other top guys but if Collins wants to be a Tiger they will sign him first then see what happens.
Something like what they've done at safety instead of waiting and maybe getting jilted by the New Iberia youngster.

We (ND) are about to pick up a 5 star 2024 kid (CJ Carr). He is going to try to reclassify to '23. I think you all have a great shot at Moore.

I hope he chooses LSU over A & M.

Imagine coming from Detroit to college station to play in Jimbo’s rag tag offense that has struggled at the QB position since he came to the league.

Maybe so. If the youngster from AZST shows out some it could influence others who've started somewhere but want to leave.
Either way, I'm sure the Staff is going to get somebody who wants to be here early enough that we don't get jilted at the alter and left in a bad position.

If Carr goes to ND for 2023 I think we get Moore. The whole who commits when dominoes could be interesting.

And I think all the LSU fans dying over getting him are legit only doing that because he is a Manning.

Which base on the prior history of the family and LSU is asinine.

Carr is a 24 recruit but may reclassify

Even if he doesn't ND seems to be pretty much out of it for Moore

I hear it is LSU and A & M. But his recruitment has been unpredictable.

With Walker Howard on the roster and likely redshirting, I doubt any high major QB recruit is going to consider us

Lawd have Mercy.
Have you looked at any of the teams roster's that are being mentioned? All are loaded with 4-5 star young qb's.
