Swag is interesting...but it doesnt win games. The old axiom...."do your job every play" and blocking/tackling win games. In every SEC championship year and in the two NCGs, that is what we did. We were so fraught with injuries and losses last year (2012) that some of our players were not ready. BUT - we will be back with a vengeance this year. What a recruiting class, every position has depth now and this will be the YEAR OF THE TIGER.

We'll be flying under the radar, that's for sure. Everybody's written us off already.

Swag is overrated ... I remember copelands swag cost us some valuable field position vs Bama

I'd rather have the strong silent type that exude confidence in their play

Aka . Ron Brooks, Brandon Taylor, and Mo Claiborne

I think tre white is the next one cut from that type of cloth

Swag intimidates. TM7 was as much of a boss because of the swag as anything. His swag was a mindset -- it drove the way he played every single play. It was just as much mental motivation for himself as it was for his teammates and mind numbing for the opponents.

I just think it's overrated ... I like the guys that get the job done and when they make a great play its like it's not a big deal. Like they expect that to happen

That's not incompatible with swag. Swag isn't dancing around after you make a sack. When the defensive player throws the QB down to the turf and tells him to get used to it down there and asks him if thinks the grass tastes as good as Les Miles thinks it does, that's swag.

Just saw a video of pocic in an interview. Don't know about swag, but that is one of the biggest mofos I have ever seen.

He looked like he was going to either eat or squash Holly Rowe in that interview.

I am not sure about the recruits this year, but I think these will be your swag guys:

Debo (from an energy standpoint)
Mills (from a shutdown CB standpoint)
Juice (from an intensity standpoint)

next year

If I had to guess for the 2013 recruits, I think RR based on the posted story in this thread and Rettig. He's got that cocky Cali swag.

Swag = confidence and confidence is something we lacked this past season.

Tre White, regardless of his Cooper Road address is one of the most humble kids so far. He's not cocky. He's dead serious and doing work.

Swag is Babe Ruth calling his shot. Swag is Muhammad Ali declaring himself the greatest of all time. Swag is Joe Namath guaranteeing victory. It's more than just confidence. It's brash confidence. In-your-face confidence. It's talking to your opponent about his mama.

Miami with Jimmy Johnson as coach probably had more swag than any team before or since.
