Jeremy Hill. He won't be great but he will get the job done.

Dude has the 4th best rushing season in LSU history.
Edit: Went back at looked at the "greats" of the SEC. Hill only played 2 years and can't be included in that group, but in those 2 years his career ypc is the same as Leonard Fournette's at 6.2 ypc and is better than Derrick Henry and Herschel Walker. His 2013 ypc of 6.9 is better than any single season ypc by Fournette, Derrick Henry or Herschel Walker. Bo Jackson played 4 seasons and only had one season with a higher YPC than 2013 Hill at 7.7 in 1983.

Also, this post is super hilarious. Hill was incredibly underrated and pretty dominating at LSU. You smoking some serious shite if you don't think Hill was "great".
Diggs isn't comparable to any LSU great. He's not that "great" but he's a solid back. He'll probably be our starter.

If the rest of the offense performs as they should, “good not great” can get us to the playoffs imo. (just to clarify, completely agree with your post & don’t want this post to read as a disagreement)

Diggs will be a much better RB than most believe.
My comp would be Toefield.
Physically about the same size & speed.
*LaBrandon Toefield CAREER:
Finished career at LSU with 2,149 yards rushing and 26 rushing TD’s on 511 carries … Ranked ninth in school history in rushing yards, eighth in rushing TD’s and sixth in carries … Had seven 100-yard rushing games and LSU was a perfect 7-0 in those contests … Named First Team All-SEC in 2001 and earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice during his career … Opted to forgo senior season and made himself eligible for the NFL Draft on Jan. 6, 2003.

of
Joe addai. Does everything. Not a speed back, though.

I'll never forget the Chick-fil-A Bowl vs Clemson. Hill was averaging 10ypc and Les goes against his instinct and starts calling pass plays. All he had to do was keep feeding Hill and we walk away with the win instead of being the catalyst for the rise of Dabo and Clemson.

Kinda feel like he's a mix between Billy Cannon, Leonard Fournette, and Trindon Holliday except just not as good.

I mean he’s not bad, this is more likely a depth play
Depth may be all we need, though. I’m very content.
No telling how Goodwin/Williams/Emery play out in fall. If one of those goes out, you need a guy “almost” as good as them or better.

The hype is real...pump the brakes. He's just added depth. His style doesn't remind me of any great LSU RB from the last 15-20 years.
Posted on 5/17/23 at 9:02 am to TigerFanFromBama
hes got two more years to be "great"
Posted on 5/17/23 at 9:09 am to tigah paw
Most of the film I have seen of him are receiving the ball. It's difficult to make a comparison.

Bad link. I'm interested to see what it is, though.

Until I see it, there is only one Cecil. That guy could have been Hershel/Bo Jackson status.
