I was wondering which of our 2012 signees do yall think will actually make it to campus and make an impact right away on our 2013 team once they get here? I don't know much about baseball recruiting so I'm just looking for info.

Whichever one can hit the ball consistently and with power.
All kidding aside I don't even look at a class until I know for sure they are coming. Its to unstable of a process to invest time and excitement in to just get let down by the Zach Lees and Vonrosenbergs (however u spell it).

Can't wait to see what this class has to offer though

if bregman or valentin make it campus, both would play as freshman

Gallo - no chance, would be the big bat LSU needs
Bregman - there is a chance, has some pop and would start from day 1
Valentin Diaz - there is a chance

Everyone else including pitchers - LSU is in good shape.

Katz and Rhymes are not locks to go pro - a lot depends on where they go - Katz is pretty much at his ceiling and Rhymes (where do you put him in the field) - that will impact where they go in draft

The biggest shoes to fill on this team will be Austin Nola because of his lock down defense

New draft rules will have an impact for players who drop in the draft - better chance for those to reach college

Nola will be sorely missed and whoever steps in will have big shoes to fill. Why is the 2012 commit thread locked? We might as well consider Sciambra part of this class as well. I was the plate ump for the EA vs Jesuit game earlier this year and was impressed with the OF from EAHS, but that was the only time I've seen him play

Hunter Devall Small lefty from centreville Academy will be one to watch. If he had the size he would be a top prospect. Lucky for Lsu he will most likely make it to campus. Kid is the real deal he pitched 4 games for zachary 2 years ago and absolutely demolished 5A competition. He compiled 60 strikeouts in 4 games. Throws upper 80's to low 90's with devastating off speed stuff.

The kid from Delgado should come in and make an impact. Good little hitter and will be an upgrade in the outfield. Still think they should have went after the kid from eunice though. But, he probably wouldn't have made it to campus anyway. Heard he is projected pretty high in the draft.

Jacoby Jones? I'm guessing.

I'm just glad they pushed the deadline up a month. Having to sweat it out till August was hell.
