Where did Pig Cage come from?

I spent all of last year‘s football season in the hospital. During the bowl game was the first time I seen this name.
Can someone tell me where this kid came from?

He played his freshman season at Nicholls St in the spring FCS season where he had a really big year.
Then he transferred and I think walked on at LSU for the fall.

FCS All-American Quinton ‘Pig’ Cage announces transfer to LSU

Cage played just one season at Nicholls where he racked up 30 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble and one interception in seven games. Following his lone season at Nicholls, Cage was named an FCS Freshman All-American.

Cage should be able to be put on scholarship in 2023. He would then count against the 85, but not the 25.
