Everyone gets burned out on it eventually. I still keep up but I don’t concern myself with the day to day when things can change by the hour.

What's up, man. I was going through my twitter inbox the other day and saw one of our Dms

Who was on the full team?
Yep
Not sure about all of them. I finally made an account when I started going to a couple of the postgame parties with some of the football players and would see a few recruits in attendance. Had to report in

It’s a shitshow now. I try to stay out of it unless some nut job melts for silly reasons.

I miss the old days. The board was more intimate. Information was more believable.
Oh well, here’s to another signing day to all the guys who grinded nonstop to build this board up

Prom, I can admit my opinion of Orgeron has swayed my recruiting enthusiasm. I'm not rooting against the guy, but I am still upset about all that entire coaching search went down. Hope he makes me eat some crow

Not shite, just treat TD mostly as entertainment nowadays. Only so many dumbass opinions you can read before you start to realize you don’t care that much about changing some dumbass’s opinion on the internet.

Am I considered an “older” poster now?
I don’t contribute shite, but I post on the recruiting board more than any other board

Checking in.
Football recruiting was probably the greatest hobby I've had in my life and it lasted for a good ~6 years. I eventually got older and ran out of time to follow the merry-go-round of recruits each year.
At the height, I had watched video on almost every top ~300 player in the country and knew a lot of details about many of them.
My dad and I still joke about how excited I was when we landed the Patrick Johnson [now Peterson] commitment. I remember running around my apartment cheering
He loosely follows it [saw him post about NSD today on social media] so he knew about him but didn't realize just how big of a recruit he would become. Of everyone I saw coming through the pipeline over the years, he was my favorite prospect and eventually player. I was confident he was a 1st round talent but his success in the NFL has surpassed my expectations.
Now, I will typically check out the highlight reel when we get a commitment. I still follow LSU football as closely as ever but recruiting took 10x as much time
One other quick 'flash from the past': I was watching the Super Bowl and realized Rex Burkhead plays RB for them. He was a mid-low ranked 3 star back when I was following recruiting very closely and I thought he was a hugely under ranked. He eventually got a 4th star IIRC and headed to Nebraska where he has a successful career leading to the pros. I recall LSU trying to get on him late but that ship had sailed. He was one of those hidden gems everyone likes to find. I pulled up his HS footage and showed my girlfriend as I told her the story...man, has footage quality gotten so much better in the last 5 years!

Doubt I qualify as an older RB poster, but I just decided it's not worth spending as much time following it. I'm sure everyone gets burnt out eventually.

Damn, lynx is in here too. Always enjoyed your contributions here. I wasn’t huge on posting back in the day. I relied on you guys for information. Y’all made recruiting exciting.

Just not being productive on NSD
I still read the board a lot but like Ell said, I got married and had a kid so my activity on here has been greatly reduced.
