When do most kids verbally commit?

I realize that it is different for every kid, but most of you follow football recruiting way more than I do. What time of the year do most kids commit? When can we expect most of the 2024 class to commit? After spring ball? After summer camps? Before school starts? Sept? Oct?

signing day is the largest singular total of commits you will see... its still the same answer

I would think either at, or right after camping at a school...but I could be wrong.
I get what BigEd is saying, but I think this is maybe closer to the point you were trying to get to?

The three biggest periods are March and April for the early guys after the first targeted visits, during summer camp season (LSU this year was getting 1-2 guys a week in July and August) and in the final week of the early period, after Thanksgiving and before NSD.

I would say you would see a bunch over the summer, then a trickle through fall then another bunch right before or on ESD.

I’m sure most kids receive offers have a school they always wanted to go to…so they wait through other offers for that one school. When they get it they commit…then they visit other schools and sometimes change their mind. Or they end their recruitment when the commit like true Tigers.

It seems like a lot commit in the summer clearing the way to just play ball in the fall. And most stay true to their word. A lot of players get offers after camping. LSU always picks up commits after summer camp because they get to see the players abilities and character and the players get to know the campus as well as getting to know the staff.

Not sure... but probably a month after they, you can also expect the de-commit.

Used to be:
The first wave is early February/March.
The second wave is in the middle of the summer.
The third wave is leading up to signing day (November/December).
