Nah don’t change your direction here. You said you didn’t want to have another Danny Lewis situation. What was the Danny Lewis situation? It was LSU, Alabama, and UF deciding they all needed a backup TE and offering him in December after we had a new staff for a couple damn weeks and he chose Saban.
TreyDez Green is the #1 rated TE in the country and has already been offered and been on campus and building a relationship with a staff in place.
I’m letting you know that comparing those two recruitments are not the same, not even close.
A recruit choosing another school is such a dumb comparison because it happens and will happen every day for as long as recruiting happens. So yes you are wrong. You say the Danny Lewis situation as if he was a 5 star TE that we neglected and everyone else wanted lol

Reading comprehension isn’t your strong suit, or you’re just purposefully neglecting what I said.
You don’t have to perform mental gymnastics. LSU wanted Danny Lewis. They targeted him. Ran out the red carpet. Bama targeted him. There was a head-to-head battle with LSU when he committed. LSU lost.
It’s pretty apparent at that point both schools had the same amount of time to recruit him. It’s not like Bama had this great relationship with the kid since Junior year of high school. LSU lost a head to head battle with Bama. The same timeline could happen with Trey Dez.. just earlier. LSU can offer and have him camp but, there’s going to be more offers from other high profile schools that will be in the running for him. 2024 signing day is so far out so, thinking he’s an absolute lock just because the staff was proactive in his recruitment is.. optimistic. Maybe a little naive with how much talent we’ve lost in-state for the past two cycles
If you really think it’s THAT crazy at this point to be skeptical of in-state recruiting, please seek help.

Lewis was a late bloomer and played himself into offers late in his senior year while Green is already a national name as an underclassman. And even with Lewis, LSU was one of the first big boys to offer.
Again, I ask could LSU lose out on his commitment in a head-to-head battle if Bama, UT, A&M make a push for his recruitment? It’s not a hot take. It should be a pretty simple question.

Reading comprehension is hard for me? Lmao you said you didn’t want another Danny Lewis situation and they just simply are not the same. Not all recruitments are equal, you’re just a dummy.

I'm not upset or yelling, I just thought I should spell it out a little more clearly for you since you're having a really tough time understanding it this morning.

No excuse for CBK and staff to not start recruiting him now. They have to start building relationships with prospects like this. Can’t blame every Louisiana recruiting miss on Coach O from the class of 2024 onward
The first offer he got was from LSU. Obviously they have a relationship already, but I am sure you will be critical of how this staff handles it, win or lose. Also no one is blaming everything on Orgeron, although his shortcomings have been obvious and this staff shows far more promise than O did his last 2 years. And you can't credit all the success of 2019 to O.

You mean when LSU gives a kid his first major offer, then Saban runs in behind us and offers, also UF offers after us, then the kid chooses another school (Gumps) instead of LSU? Hate to tell you, this happens to every staff, including Saban. If you are so disappointed in our staff, who has not coached a single game yet, Please feel free to follow the Sooners or the Gumps or any team other than LSU. We don't need the constant negative BS.

Don’t waste your time. OKtiger isn’t looking for facts or context. Every recruitment is the same.

Back on topic though. TreyDez is a beast, and is by far the best TE I've ever seen come from this state. Still a ways away from Signing Day obviously, but I think we have a great chance in ultimately getting him.

I thought you said you were going to go away for a while after the great recruiting weekend proved all your chicken little bullshite false. Please follow through with that for the good of this board.

You seem legitimately stupid and stubborn.

Here's a newsflash for you: Some HS kids blossom late and if you want an offer from a big school like LSU, you have to show the potential. Lewis didn't get attention until late in the process. If they went and offered every recruit like you want you'd then be complaining they fielded a roster full of guys who can't compete with Bama because you're churning out busts. Shut up and let the BK/scouting department do their job.

So Galloway and Green are our two desired TE’s for ‘24? That would be amazing
Posted on 7/10/22 at 9:47 am to cajuntiger1010
Tylen Singleton held him to no catches in playoff loss to Many.
