I think the guys we have are fine. All him coming would do is throw an unnecessary wrench in a very promising QB room.

I think Lincoln Riley told him to put LSU in his top 2 for the same reason Saban has kids fake interest in LSU near signing day every year. The optics of choosing one over the other. Riley knows he and Kelly will be linked because of how the coaching searches played out. He also knows that right now he is losing. He's in a bigger market that's supposed to be more attractive to better recruits and he's still behind in all the recruiting rankings. Transfer, high school, and overall.

Myles, Garrett, Walker...

I was a Williams proponent before he committed to OU and still a fan of his talent but I do have some questions. Is he really that good or is it just the phase of CF we're in that leads to the stats these kids put up? All those fancy stat kids aren't great players or talents.
Biggest question of all, if he's that good, that important to these schools including Riley/USC, what took so long for him to finally unseat Rattler? Rattler isn't good. Something is missing in this story. Not buying the "he was a freshman" excuses.

I will puke. Don’t mess up what we already have lined up

We are riding or dying with Myles Brennan. Kelly will put on offensive line in front of him to protect him.

Myles is good, but Caleb Williams would make us automatic contenders again. He is a 1st round QB wherever he goes. We still don't know what Myles is
They said the same about Spencer Rattler too and I would t want him anywhere near LSU.

What would be the level of euphoria on here if Caleb Williams transferred in?P
Dude, I'm sure people are wishing, But don't let the Media/Social take us for a Ride again like with Lincoln Riley.
I'm Good til I see Him announce it!

He does not make us contenders this year. We have EVERYTHING brand new but our OL coach.
Recruits are like the draft, and the portal is like free agency, but without a salary cap.
LSU has a D line, parts of an O Line, and a good group of WRs coming back. At least some hope at LB with Baskerville. RB isn't awful with Kiner, and maybe Emery returning. Cain should be good too, and then there's Cain, Bradford, and the other freshman.
You build up the line and secondary with the portal, and this team should be pretty darn good. Toss in an elite QB and a couple early creampuffs to get on the same page, and you literally never know if you have it.
Every year in the NFL a team goes from worst to first. LSU wasn't Vandy-bad, it was disjointed and poorly coached.

No we have our next 4 years set and I'm not to excited to mess it up maybe after next year when Brennan is gone and nuss or Howard start checking out transfer bc of competition. I really hope they both stay. Eventjough there is only one starter at beginning of season guys get hurt and things change

This seems to be a common theme.. lots of coaches and recruits do this and they can frick off
Posted on 1/22/22 at 8:39 am to cbree88
Then I wouldn't blame Brennan for transferring out.

You’d never leverage another job offer to get more out of your current employer?

Brennan: Been at LSU 5 years, only started 4 games. Back to Back season ending injuries. Nuss: Assed it up last year, has potential but a gunslinger, will most likely end up transferring Howard: Not ready for SEC football, coming off of an injury, will take a year or two to be ready. You take Caleb right now over all 3 of these guys.
Correct take.
I like Brennan, but Williams is def a take, whether Brennan wins the job or not.

It would be a possible SEC Championship with a trip to one of the 4 playoff games. Maybe a National Championship 2019 type year. No QB on the LSU team now will give us a chance like him. Williams is Joe Burrowish. No one else is.

I’m not even considering the idea. It’s frankly absurd.

So if it’s SC all along what’s the hold up? I mean you would think they’ve ironed out transcripts and such by now…right?
