Cain has 2 years left.

Cain. But next cycle I think the state has some exciting talent so I'm assuming they'll take two in the next class.

Cain can play 2 if he wants.

There is a great running back right down the street at Liberty Magnet. Kaleb Jackson is the real deal. Hope the staff gets on him. Major offer list already. Florida and Oklahoma state were on campus last week.

Citizen was wanted, but he didn't want to stay here in the end
I think Citizen was butthurt about something. As you said he was wanted and even coveted. All the excuses for putting a new staff were available to mend any fences if needed but in the end he chose to go to Miami program in greater disarray than anything here at LSU. He either chose cash or just was not going to do it at LSU and wanted to rub our noses in it.

Miami has deep pockets and playing time . No SEC schedule to beat your brains out week in week out .

Or we didn't offer one of the best RB in the state at neville and he goes to Nebraska.

Sounds like miami went all out on nil for citizen. He was all set to go to florida but miami missed on shemar stewart.
Supposedly he got 150k upfront or 150k a year.

Big miss on running backs this recruiting cycle.

can LSU land this one?
Camar Wheaton, yeah I agree. That's the guy LSU should go after. Just a casualty of a jammed up RB room at Alabama, plus with Alabama just adding Jamar Gibbs, but still a top five star running back prospected last year's class. Too good not to go after.

I think more players will leave Bama after spring ball. I would wait.

Exactly. People who think Cain is the answer are going to be very disappointed in the fall.

Don’t forget Kyron Angeletti at Chalmette high. The kid led 8-5A in rushing. All he does is train. LINK

Was LSU late to the game with them? Not show much interest
Do some of you not realize that LSU had no head coach and a lame duck staff of coaches for most of the season? Do you know that some kids like Citizen decommitted for this reason which opened the door for them to go elsewhere? So LSU was recruiting with no stability at all in the coaching staff and telling kids what exactly? How was LSU going to recruit like that?
Dude it is a MIRACLE that Brian Kelly kept the 13 commitments from going somewhere else to take visits. The 13 kids were highly sought after and stayed loyal to LSU until LSU hired Brian Kelly. By the way LSU is raked with the #6 overall class and Kelly put that together in 2 months with a partial staff.

LSU didn’t need RB’s this year. We actually will have problems keeping them all. Emory and Cain will start. Godwin gets a decent amount of playing time or Kiner depending who shines in Spring ball. Bradford may transfer for the third time because he won’t play. And you have Williams the walk on who could leave but no one will pick up a walk on with little to no film.

We have
Emery
Kiner
Goodwin
Cain
Bradford
Williams (emergency option)
What is the big deal?
You can kick the can to next year. It is literally not a big deal
