There's your answer. ND finished 11-1, No. 5. Both held onto great recruiting classes.
LSU is 0.500 the past two year. Winning will change recruiting. Finishing in the top 20 was pretty fantastic for ESD, especially when you see USC and UF down in the 90's.

Better comparison is USC who fired their coach and hired a big name. USC sus at 80th ranked class but only has 6 commits. We're doing five

OU has buckets of oil money, along the lines of Texas & the aggies. Give it time for the pipeline to be stroked & finessed. OU was a huge, huge cheater back in the Switzer days & those same donors have just gotten older & richer.

That Oklahomo's top 5 class prior to Riley leaving was gutted.
2 5 stars, 2 4 stars and 2 3 star decommits when Riley left. 1 5 star followed Riley to USC and one signed with aTm, 1 4 stars to Michigan and one talked off the ledge and stayed with Oklahomo. 3 stars to Texas and Houston.
Venebles and crew were able to get a QB and WR from UF's disaster.
