Probably my second favorite LSU QB ever. Behind Rohan Davey, of course.

I know, but LSU will not offer Scott. I never said it was the right call, just what will happen.

So this is the son of Lindsey Scott who played for Southern, and professionally in Canada? Dad was a beast at running back. He was also smart. I think he's a lawyer now. Good dude.

Scott is a very good player. Check out some video of him. he isn't just a "running" qb. I'm sure his height kept some bigger schools away but I would've loved for him to get a chance to come to lsu

Very good quarterback that just doesn't have the ideal measureables but will definitely excel in college. Some qualities about QB's aren't measureable. There are just as many instances of QB's that have all the measureables and not succeeding as there are ones that have measureables and not succeeding. Lindsey is a special talent but unless you can get past the measureables you cant appreciate him. Will be a great college QB because his skill set translates well for the college game. Places like LSU, Florida, and other prominent programs sometimes forget that this is about winning in COLLEGE and not about how they project for the NFL. I care about winning in college not what will or won't translate to the NFL. Every schools put all these players in the NFL and don't win anything in college. I'll take SEC CHAMPIONSHIPS AND NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS all day long!!!

Herb Tyler couldn't throw for shite and ran the option. Scott is 5'10 at most, and besides his mind, all his intangibles are average. He's probably a 4.7-4.8 kid, very average arm and average accuracy.

I love LSU taking a flyer on a mid-tier qb sometimes, but at least have some upside.

That he actually spells his name Lindsey and not Lindsley

I remember Herb had very long fingernails, and he said he could tell if he was throwing the ball well by the way his fingernails clicked when he released the ball. The center (can't recall who it was) had to wear protection on his arm because Herb's fingernails were clawing him too much when he snapped the ball.

LSUButt-

Completing right at 70%. Jr. Highlight shows a pass 55-60!yards through the air. Interesting why you call that average.

- you seem to know a lot about the kid. Curious. Have you ever trained him, clocked him in the 40?

I don't know how much you know about Nike/elite 11 camps, but they actually measure height and weight at these camps (shoes off). They post it on their sites. Scott attending Elite 11 camps in Ohio and in Oregon this year, measuring 5'11" 205. Click link and type Scott. LINK /

I don't have a problem with opinions. But when you are talking about a kid, its good to base opinion on fact.

I think the original poster was asking what we "knew" about the kid. Not whether he was a fit at LSU, or whether there was a kid that we may have liked more. Lastly, your statement that the state's 5A MVP was "average", speaks volumes as how the rest of the states talent pool must look. The kid led 5A in total yards last year, and led his team to the semis for 1st time in school history. If that's "average", I'll take "average" all day.

All of LSU's recent qb's have turned out to be "mid-tier flyer's", at best. Probably says something about his QB talent if Miles doesn't want him.

STFU. LSU has talked to him but I do not expect him to get offer or take it if he did.

Nothing like regurgitating stuff from the internet... I have seen him play many times. He is way better than average. He is very comfortable in the pocket but gets a Dual Threat label because he has to run the ball too on called plays. He has worked with Jeff Garcia in off season - his dad played CFL with him before he went to 49'rs. The big intangible for him is that he is very smart. He holds offers from Harvard, Colgate, and this past summer Yale was showing interest. He not only has the talent to play there - he has the grades too.

I love people who discount the kid before even watching some video on him. The kid has better than avg talent not to mention he isn't playing class a ball either. Obviously he isn't an NFL qb and I hate to make comparisons btw NFL players and high school kids but he reminds me of Russell Wilson

He looks very comfortable in the pocket and throws a nice deep ball.

I trust the judgment of Jimmy. Hope he excels at Syracuse or wherever he ends up. (Unless it's an SEC opponent of course)

Also, keep in mind.. LSU did not get one extra cupcake game to pad stats such as this..

Far more important are SEC stats right now.
