I know for a fact his father was telling ppl he was still set on LSU NSD afternoon. you're obv gonna believe whatever you want. Janzen's a POS thug, LSU doesn't need that. at least you're one of only a small minority that are willing to over look everything to get another big time player on the FB team. This whole thing is beyond pointless bc it's not happening for a dozen reasons

he is a great player but alike in the past doesnt do any good if he cant stay out of trouble.

Bottom line. If LSU brings him back I am gonna be excited. if tehy dont I dont fault our staff for that decision. They know whats best.

Plus like someone else mentioned with the tight amount of scholllies we already have it appears we cant add any new players anyways.

He made his bed. now he has to lay it.

See Books you are usually money in the bank on stuff like this but I just find that hard to beleive that our staff thought that day that Janzen was 100% lock.
His and his fathers lying on NSD has been reported and rehashed countless times. Was blatantly lying about signing with LSU so Tenn could lock up that other DB, who wouldn't have went to UT had he known JJ was going there.

See i watched adn posted through that whole drama. i just didnt remeber his dad and him telling people they were signing with LSU.

I remember countless threads claiming him to Tenn as we waited for his mom to get back in town.

It was F'd up no matter how he did it. He made a poor choice. I was mad as ahell that day as well but becuase of Randle, Shep, Loston, Davenport etc . I was okay with losing one.

you're still willing to take him after all the trouble he's been in at UTk, you apparently have a threshold that stops just short of rape/murder if you're ok w/ a kid involved in armed robbery. LSU is not 'bringing him back', he's got problems right now aside from playing FB.

but I Hebert Drove drunk adn could have taken lives and he is starting next year. We are not the ones to judge. Different enviornments produce different results.

Actually he didnt drive anywhere. He was on LSU's campus in his car in a parking lot.

Plus that is one incident. 1. Jackson has already had several. He has already had his second and third and fourth chance. So you can take your overlooking arse somewhere else. The facts are facts, people who get in trouble one or two times and then stay out of trouble obviously get it.

Guys like Jackson, Odom, Perrilloux were given every opportunity in the world and still couldnt get it rt. RP still ran into trouble at Jackson State or wherever. Some people just cant stay out of trouble and Jackson is one of them.

I agree with your point on this one as well. and maybe this kids crimes are too much to overlook.

But how can we hold him accountable for something he didnt even go to Jial about. Thsoe others kids were kicked out. Nukeese was a baller as well. Why not him. As much as yall want to crucify the kid maybe he was at the worng place at the wrong time.

I know for fact that many LSU players have smoked weed in the past 3 years. And our kids always egt in bar fights.

In my heart i feel like everyone is pissed becuase he jilted us at the alter 2 years ago.

I dont think he is a angel by no means. Zach mettenberger was a total different case so I get your point.

But why are yall willing to look at Tk Fleming adn not JJ....

Answer becuase he choose Tennessee over us.

I get your point no reason to get ugly about it. I am not disagree ing with you on that point. But If Hebert does it again do you let him back again. It shows signs of trouble right?

BTW - just becuase it doesnt go to media doesnt mean its the only incident. Lots of stuff goes on that the staff takes care of in house. They arent holding up a couple at a gas station or drunk driving type of stuff but fights etc happen. Drugs and alcohol breaking curfew that stuffs happens all the time at every program.

I would like to take this oportunity to congradulate Lance Guidry on the stellar job he has done rearing the children under his care. Perhaps the "mean streets of Welsh" were in fact something to run from.

sure they have, but did they keep doing it when they were already busted sev times? then did they also go out and get in fights? you're not seeing the big picture, I don't know what else to tell you other than I'm glad LSU's coaches have more sense

are you serious? Fleming is ab as popular as Janzen and he hasn't stepped foot on a college campus yet

I'm amazed that some of y'all would even entertain this possibility. This would send a horrible message. And it's not like we're low on talented kids. There is nothing good that could come out of this.

Wouldn't want him at LSU,don't think he'd come to LSu.don't think the staff would take him at LSU.
All that said if the kid did by some miracle end up at LSU,he'd start at FS next year. The kid is that good.I know some want to say he's a bad player because of the ill feelings towards him and i understand it very well(i myself wish he weren't good)but the kid is a top 3 S in the SEC and would beat out any S on our team currently at FS.That's saying alot since we are loaded with talent at S.The kid is just that good.

LSU should not and will not take this kid and his character issues.

I'm all for giving kids second chances, but Miles has to put his team first...and its best to keep our guys away from trouble.

Does anyone have the full NSD story on JJ? I'd like to read more about it.

1. The kid and his dad screwed us over on NSD. He and his father knew exactly what they were doing and why when they did it. Kiffin set it up that way...its his MO for pulling good out of state students. It isn't about him not signing with us....its about character. His biggest interaction with LSU is him being a pre-meditated liar.

That would be strike #1

2. While at UT he has been a fairly constant discipline issue....up to and including being at worst involved in a straight up robbery at a conveniance store. Again...character concerns.

That would be strike #2

3. He has left his current team...where he is a 2 yr starter...over "personal reasons"...twice. We don't know what they are but they could be any number of things. He certainly isn't in school...again...character.

That would be strike #3

Add to that the fact that we don't have a scholarship for him anyway and he will have to sit a minimum of one year...TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.

...now...

...If he wanted to walk on and pay his own way while he sits for his year with the understanding that he gets tossed at an inkling of a problem..then well...maybe.

...but i still say not worth it.
