What are our odds at landing Ricks and or Muhammad?

If we could somehow land one and or both, our CB room would go from ?? to ??!
Not saying we will but I feel like it’s an attractive place to transfer atm if you play DB or DL with the new coaching staff and the PT available.

Rick’s is not happening. He’s following his coach to Georgia. Hard to land a top DB with no secondary coach currently employed.

We have a lot of players in the secondary coming in, I believe we have 6 true Freshmen and 3 transfers plus have to consider JK Johnson who will also be a newcomer after being injured this past season. So, that's 10 new faces plus everyone that is coming back. Point being, I think they have enough bodies, but I do see your point, but unless it's a stud, I don't think we need any more players at corner or safety.

Safety should be covered with the 2 transfers, Rogers and Mcbryde. CB is the issue. Sure we have 4 incoming and a transfer but we don't know how ready or good they are. Numbers do not equate to capability or readiness.

This! Ricks obviously doesn’t help this from an experience standpoint but Muhammad has been one of the best CBs on CFB for the past few years.
If he wants in, how do you say no?

I'd take Muhammad in a heart beat. I only watched two games he played in this year, but that was enough. Would think he'd go to Bama if there was a spot for him.

We've shown an inability or refusal to pay elite portal guys this year, even at positions of need, so I wouldn't expect Ricks

We are ranked #56 in the portal rankings and we haven't been in serious contention for any of the top tier portal players this cycle.

I agree based on looking at it from the outside. A couple of the takes kind of fit into that narrative whether true or not. Local and easy pickings don't translate to worthy. The one top shelf CB with ties picked OM over us. Don't know the reason but there was one obviously. Tea leaves say money.

Ultimately it seems that no one could or was willing to pay what he wanted.
Perfect example of why you have to wait before passing judgement. The only stat that matters is BK wins. Trust him.

You truly are a football virgin! First, everything you just said was OPINION or just BOGUS into, NOT facts. First, LSU is NOT #56 in portal rankings...try #36 according to 247 sports. Second, I quoted them just to dispute your number but who made them God of football? You stargazers utterly amaze me. You think they know more about evaluating talent than a head coach who has won HUNDREDS of actual games and well-regarded assistants! Seriously?
Third, you make the assumption that LSU was unwilling or not able to pay. Hey Einstein, perhaps LSU EXPECTS better players to be available in the 2nd transfer portal. A&M for example loaded up on mediocre transfer from non-P5 schools BEFORE a bunch of Alabama and Washington players became available. Fourth, you give ERRORNEOUS ranking of LSU transfer portal and don't even mention top 10 in HS recruiting.
Bottom line: You probably should watch Pirates of the Caribbean a few more times, because you know squat about recruiting or what the LSU coaches are attempting to do.
