Our group thought he had a good game. With some work, he'll do well in the SEC.

I was impressed with him, seemed like he was involved in every play and most importantly, he wrapped up!

True, only on one play did I remember him missing the tackle. Then again, one of his teammates hit his legs out from under him, while the play was going.

Maybe it was the lighting inside the dome, but Welter reminded me of Scott Fujita

I must have watched a different game than some.

I thought he looked like a average LB from a good program.

More often than not he got caught up in the middle and chased the play down for the tackles.

The Parkview QB just outran him to the corner a few times as well.

And the guard from Parkview also routinely kicked him back at least 2 yards, the guard looked to be about 225

Very concerned about this recruit, and I was a big supporter after watching him at ASH last year.

I agree with this. I wasn't impressed at all. Especially when most of the kids on the field were skinny little white kids.

Bingo! You are right, you will never be impressed with a white kid.

I would love the kid to come in a become a beast at LB but if he was playing in the 2A game before that no one would have noticed him.

He may well contribute, but we need a STUD LB and pronto.

not trying to be a dick, but i recall people being worriewd about our lb this year. Chavis knows what he is doing, and you forget about two dudes named baker and minter that are studs. Chavis move fracnois to lb just like coleman and that paid off. I think we are fine.

We were at the game, and he was pretty impressive. Lots of tackles despite being double teamed often, caused Dileo to fumble on the goal line, and blocked his butt off for the Leonards td and other plays, including a huge block on a punt return. I guess I will have to watch the tv game to try to see the weaknesses you saw, but live he was pretty good. Overall, he attracted a lot of attention from Parkview, and when 2-3 blockers were on him, it allowed his line to get a lot of stops, too. Let's see- Parkview had(-)1 yard rushing in the second half, and ND won the state championship- we thought he was pretty good.
