Why have Webb and Sampah been in the portal for so long? Could they return to LSU?

They have been warning PLAYERS grass isnt green as they think it is. Close to 60% that enter portal dnt find a home and some of these coaches not letting players come back. They rather give that slot to a high school kid. Sad thing kids taking a chance and losing free eduaction.

Pretty sure this isnt the case, didn't Webb have a heart condition and Sampah was processed I believe. Some players just dont work out.

Sampah - never healthy
Webb- I thought he was going to be special, got real big, then a tweaking injury, If he’d came as a freshman under CBK I think he’d be starting

The point still stands. Most players that enter the portal don't get a scholarship somewhere else.

I dnt know about them personally. Just stating alot of players dnt get picked up they have put out the data to prove it. I hope they land somewhere though.

That is why you dont see alot of players entering portal from Colorado 1-11 team. The ones that have entered and got picked up end up at way smaller schools. They can enter but majority want get picked up.

Promise you Tolan was contacted by another team most reasonably Miami. The end story here will be money.

ok my point was, I'm not going to sht on a kid that didnt have control over whether they could stay on the team or not. Every circumstance is different.

I’m a little surprised they haven’t already ended up at Baylor since Aranda was high on both of them and he recruited them to play in his scheme. Wouldn’t be surprised if one of both did eventually.

This is false.

Colorado has had 11 players enter the portal, more than the FBS average of about 7.

Of those, 5 already have destinations:

Cal
Florida State
Boise State
UTSA
Charlotte

Sampah had a knee injury that ended his senior year of high school and was never the same player afterwards.

Webb suffered several injuries, including multiple concussions.

Neither were medically cleared to participate in football activities for the 2022 season and were off the team for same.

ETA: the LB with heart issues is the kid from Alabama, Kendall McCallum, who was a 2019 recruit.

If they are that broken down physically, they shouldn’t have entered the portal at all. They should have just retired from football. Especially if one has a history of concussions.
