Do you think LSU have a legitimate chance? cause I think this her 2nd time visiting and coming back in Oct I think the back court with Bella would be nice
Very, LSU and Texas are her top 2 allegedly. And Chavez will be back again this fall for an official visit

Let's see...Chavez is currently playing with LSU 2025 commit Hines. She and her father will hang out with 4X Natl Champion and HOF Coach Kim. Win another Natl Championship. Meet and be coached by the great WNBA legend Money Augustus. Meet and play with star players who love each other like family. Great fans who support WBB and sellout games. Meet Mike the Tiger. Watch FB games at #1 rated Tiger Stadium. Top NIL program. Great southern food. LSU = her second home. It's all there for her.

That would be incredible.

the chance to come learn from mulkey...starkey...and augustus...not to mention the guards we already have in place as mentors. i think that's why i take it so personal that we got bounced off the other recruit's list, cause i feel like everybody should want to come play here! plus, we are the best fans. ever.

I don’t disagree with everything you said but other schools have similar arguments. Jazzy equally values education so I see her at USC or UCLA who offer a much greater opportunity in that respect.
I’m currently a student at LSU (PhD student) and I can tell you that the condition of so many of the buildings on campus that gen ed courses are housed in are deplorable. That can be a deciding factor for some. I attended two different schools for undergrad and MA degrees. I was accepted to three other universities and toured them as well prior to choosing LSU. I can tell you that of the 6 schools, the academic facilities at LSU are the worst. I ended up choosing LSU entirely because of the fit with my supervising professor I work with, but had that not been the case, I would have chosen differently.

wow, that’s interesting.
awa fam thiam announced today that she is staying in spain for next year and not planning to come play in the states.
i also saw sakima walker is returning to south carolina, which makes maryam dauda their 7th post player. maybe she will pull a deedee and jet.

Was really hoping LSU could land her early on in the process. With Day-Wilson on board, that ship has most likely sailed.

Good grief, 7 post players. There will be a number of SC post players sitting on the bench, possibly even Dauda.

There are whispers on the circuit of the SC situation.

So what is the gossip at SC WBB?
Posted on 6/8/24 at 9:38 am to LSUVT
i don't know any gossip or whispers, but i know math. and when you have seven post players and 40 minutes of game time....well no one is getting alot. this is from an article when kamilla missed a couple of games to be in brazil for the olympic team.
“They worked hard these past two days,” South Carolina coach Dawn Staley said. “They’ve been wanting an opportunity to play more minutes than they usually play. They’ve been wanting that. It’s just unfortunate you have Kamilla, who’s going to play 26-30 minutes. There’s not a whole lot of minutes left for somebody else.”
that was when they had five post players. with kamilla leaving, they go to four and open up a good bit of playing time, right? wrong - because then they add three more posts - dauda and two freshmen. joyce edwards is the #3 player in the country, and dawn compares adhel tac to ailyah boston. so, i think all three incoming players get playing time. i see this overload as really affecting kitts and feagin. it will be interesting to watch play out. i am all for sacrificing self for team, but i also think maybe there is a middle ground in there before you reach this extreme.
*dauda was averaging 28-29 minutes a game last season.

I am still astounded we could not add a fourth workable post player to complete the rotation. That was a huge failure and setback.
And no, none of this bullshite of “Derp! Wolfey! She-six-foot-five!” She is NOT a post player.
