LSU was ranked #1 in the country in bench points. Divine had her chances to play more minutes, but she looked lost at times, turned the ball over, or commit a foul. Maybe it's as simple as not being a good fit at Lsu.

I love coach Kim but I believe this is one reason she loses out of players, Kim yanks players when they mess up, even upperclassmen, she need to learn to let them play through it, i know if very discouraging as a player.

If a player is mad at the coach and discouraged and pouting after getting yanked for a bad play- when they've been made well aware that this is the consequence for such in this system- then it's probably not the type of player Kim wants on her team. She wants players who are mentally tough who can cut it against the big dogs at crunch time. That's the real world where winning is priority. It's one thing to not like getting yanked. It's another to crumble over it and not try to improve the next time.

This is big-time women's college basketball where girls have to grow up, especially if they want to make the WNBA. They have to learn to accept the criticism to get better without getting their feelings hurt. Heck, they're GETTING PAID! Probably more than you or me. No room for softies. And I bet you Kim praises them just as much when they do well in the game or at practice- which we rarely see on-camera.

She is reluctant to use her bench, even when her bench is really really good

I think we had the highest scoring bench in the SEC, thanks in part to Lay coming off the bench. Divine was just in a tough spot, because she played behind our three main scorers MiLaysia, Mikaylah and Flau'jae.

Yes, LSU was #1 in country in bench points, avg 43 points/game. Kim did use bench players regularly. Only Meghan had minimal minutes. Starters only played 20-26 minutes, depending on the team we played against, the rest spread among bench players. Unlike some teams who use their starters 35-40 minutes, and bench players barely played.

I respectfully completely disagree.

These are skilled college and paid players; they should be yanked when they commit stupid plays. Leaving them in the game just reinforces bad play.

That is one of the biggest issues I had with McMahon. His players would make a bonehead play and he would leave them in so they could make more bonehead plays.
