Am I wrong in thinking that having 10 commits for 2025 before 2024 National Signing Day is way ahead of customary schedule. In the past seems like recruits would wait till much later in the year to commit. Is it NIL, having early signing day now, or is it how easy it is to decommit?

When Miami was real good l, they used to make their guys wait until near signing day.

I think they liked the pop of having a huge month.

I think the transfer portal has a lot to do with it as well. If a kid is dragging his feet then the program can go grab an experienced player to fill his spot and make an instant impact

And FSU under Bowden. They’d explode on NSD (when it was just 1 day in Feb)

Yes they are. Here’s how LSU compares to the rest of the SEC, 2 schools don’t even have a commit yet. LINK

Used to be coaches didnt tolerate commits taking visits after they committed. This was kind of an unwritten rule. Now the kids commit and the next weekend go visit another program… not near as binding as it used to be so committing early does not penalize you.

Since when is BK a CEO coach? I’m pretty sure his specialty is offense. He always has good offenses no matter who the coordinator is.
