Oh, you'd rather have Ward than Bates?

Yeah, you're stupid.

yep, look at Ashton Stamps. A total after thought with this class to all of us but unless coaches are blowing smoke up our arse, he’s already in the two deep. No even an early enrollee.

We can find corners.

Stamps going to be a stud. LSU finds DBs as good as anyone and they grow on trees in Louisiana which is severely under scouted.

Exactly, they’re going to get their arse beat by Utah too. Their recruits will jump ship.

Florida went 6-7 last year, yet they have the #3 class in the country right now across multiple recruiting services.

It's pretty clear the kids committing there don't care about on the field performance.

Tend to agree with this. Not sure why people think another lackluster season for the gators will just drive all their recruits away. Seems like they already know what they're signing up for.

texas is another story. They really sell the narrative that things are different now and "we've changed, baby. We're back". So I do expect recruits to have second thoughts once they begin to inevitably stumble this year, as is tradition.

C’s, agreed.

This is Billy’s bump year at Florida. He has put together a good recruiting staff and Billy is a really good recruiter. This class is the first full cycle class his staff has had time to evaluate and build relationships with. It’s clear the class is bought into their ability to make an impact and play early as Florida’s roster has had to be turned over. This class has a path to early playing time.

Portal is a game changer for elite players that really like a program that currently sucks. New staffs can sell early starting time and just pay extra $$$ to get them there. The players know if the coach's vision doesnt play out on the field they can just transfer somewhere ready to win with their $$$ in tow.

Multiple reliable posters on On3 said his Wardell and his parents avoided and refused to talk to Frank Wilson and LSU. Wardell never wanted to go to LSU and neither his parents.

Let's see how many stick by the time signing period starts. They don't care about performance right now because you haven't performed for them to see yet. While the money might be on the table they're being promised a turn around and early PT. If your team ends up doing the same thing if not worse than last year they'll immediately bail because they'll get similar money elsewhere and don't have to worry about who their next HC will be their first year at the program. Less questions about development at that point.

You have to perform in order to sell and I highly doubt Florida is going to perform this year. If they do it will be the biggest surprise in SEC. They may glowing at the money on the table and that early PT opportunity buying into Sunbelt Billy is rebuilding something special but he's going to have to prove that to keep the commits he currently has.

Mack was never coming here and won’t be here when the ink is dry.
We have some numbers this year but quality starting as freshmen is yet to be seen. You can only play so many at one time. We will sign one more and dip the TP lightly for a CB next off season.

I think Mack wants to be original. He ain’t practicing pulling a shoe when it’s easier to pull the back judges hanky and toss it for him.

Well, it's pretty obvious he doesn't want to go to LSU seeing as they can sell early PT opportunity to him too. We're being forced to get 4 CBs out of the portal every year.

I don't see him signing with Florida regardless what he does with LSU.

He's talented no doubt but the position of need thing is dumb. Whether at safety or corner, LSU has elite players committed to this class. It's not like they missed on McKinley here.

Speaking of McKinley now that's need and going to be a melt when he commits elsewhere

I wouldn't count Mack or McKinley out for LSU

There's a lot of folks thinking OU or Texas or even OSU before LSU

You said we didnt get the momentum we hoped for after Simmons committed. I'm simply telling you we just got a commitment from Kobe Black who is a 5 star and moved his timeline up because Simmons committed.

Go ahead and chalk up those silent “commits”, they always work out well. You are talking to the wrong fan base if you’re trying to count those chickens.

Fair enough. I just feel comfortable with this one because it was obvious he has been trending our way for so long and the staff likes to do the silent commit deal so they can strategically release the public announcement later. Black has been all Texas for a long time.
