I would say that's not entirely accurate. A better way of putting is they have 'opened it up' instead of 'looking elsewhere'.

'Looking elsewhere' implies UGA is out of the running; which is not the case.

BUT, they are no longer UGA locks by any means. I'd say UGA is now in 2nd place. Problem is, just not sure who is in 1st place. We never gave up on SVP, so I'd like to say it is LSU.

I mean, Georgia had Fromm who was a highly ranked recruit himself. I think it’s more the system they have than anything. Like LSU last season with Burrow, without Brady.
Such a dumb excuse.

Have you watched fields play?

Name 1 things, just 1, that Fromm does better than Fields.

Justin, in his first year as a starter, just posted 50 TDs and 1 int

Jake, in his 3rd year, just posted 22 TDs and 5 INT

It’s not even close.

when UGA put Fields in last season, he did bad. He was given reps at critical times and simply didn't get it done.

UGA’s scheme will make most look bad. Plus, fields was a true freshman. It’s very common to make that jump from freshman to sophomore year.

I’m thinking it goes Burrow to Brennan to Johnson. Though I wouldn’t be surprised if Parrish could run this offense efficiently with his accuracy and athleticism. I just think Brennan And Johnson are the future qbs of this offense.

My response to the Brady might be leaving soon would be that we’re signing him to a new contract that will keep him at LSU. Having said that, why do you think everyone wants Joe Brady and no one is coming after the GA offensive coordinator? Could it be that Brady is the best offensive assistant in college (see the Broyles Award) and Georgia’s offense sucks. Think about it........

Van Pran and Burch are a very real possibility imo. Build the trenches.

Really hope we land Van Pran.
McKinnley Jackson also looks like a beast.
No matter how we fill these last 6 spots, this is a very good class.

I couldn’t agree more. I know Kirby is saying that Burrow is graduating, and Brady will soon be leaving for another job offer..

Not sure how Kirby and Georgia could use this as negative recruiting considering our old offense was still far better than theirs.

That's because of the scheme. They had no idea how to make him successful. They were totally clueless.

Fields basically had one game's worth of passes last season and he was 27-39 for 328 yds and 4 TDs 0 Ints. UGA mainly used him like we did RP in '07 so Fields mostly just ran in when he got in games. Dude saying he was bad last year has no idea what he's talking about.

Come home big man.

If we get Van Pran, I can't wait to see how Scott Van Pelt reconciles having another 'SVP' at his favorite college.

If we lose Evans to UGA and they lose Van Pran to us, I'm more than good with that swap. The game is won in the trenches and we have some damn fine RBs on the team already. Louisiana turns out solid skill guys every year, offensive lineman, not so much.

His overall stats last year were pretty good. It’s gonna be hard to take over a game when you get one play a quarter.
