We'll be fine. Until the kid puts pen to paper, it's not over. And even then, with the portal, it's not (e.g. Daughterty).
There's still a whole senior year eval process that has to happen too, so some guys are going to rocket up the board, some guys that are highly rated will drop like a rock.

We're getting out recruited (significantly) by Florida, which has been a bigger shite show over the last few years than A&M.
USC just passed us in the 247 team rankings, and LSU now sits at 9th on 247. Alabama will inevitably pass us when they get more commits, so that effectively means we're really sitting at 10th.
We're sitting at 9th on Rivals and 12th on On3. If things don't turn around and we don't start locking down some of these higher rated targets, there's a good chance we don't finish with a top 10 class this year on any major recruiting service.
Florida, meanwhile, is pushing towards a top 4 class.

You'd think, especially after last year, people would remain calm, and sit back in amazement with the job this staff does, yet here we are and the annual recruiting freak out is in full swing.

Good class if it plays out this way. I hope we go all in on Simmons and don't get outbid. Also, hope they are in on a stud Dline guy that is not on this list.

Just curious, why do wins on the field only apply to us but not schools like Florida or A$M?

Because lsu doesn't play dirty to get recruits(atleast not the cbk regime)

Both A&M and Florida are in panic modes. Texas is coming to the SEC. Their in state rivals (Texas and Florida St) are perceived as being on the upswing.
A&M’s only and biggest sales pitch to recruits the past decade has been — we’re the only SEC team in Texas. They won’t have that in their back pocket in 2024. Florida is definitely keeping one eye on when/if the ACC collapses. The clock is ticking. UF and A&M know it
