Clemson insiders believe that the "positive" news that Wiggins and his family gave LSU last night was just a smokescreen to buy him some time to consider other options (aka flip to Clemson)

I mean if the kid is going to flip. Do it now.

Everyone acts like a school processing a kid is trashy but there is nothing wrong with a kid lying and flipping on signing day leaving you high and dry.

When he could have flipped and let both parties move forward.

With that said our insiders feel good. Not just our 24/7 guys as well.

Shea says something definitely seems fishy with it all, telling lsu he's locked in but still listening.

They offered, we countered bigger. Ball is back in their court. We’ll see who wants him more

Serious question, what does this mean? What do teams “offer”? Are we talking $ and under the table benefits or opportunity and playing time?

Do you really expect Vol to answer that? What do you think he's referring to?

Pitting one school against another to get a bigger paycheck to only quit and transfer halfway through the season. It’s the new hot thing.

No

The LSU administration does not allow or condone the activities to which you are describing. To do so would be in violation of NCAA rules.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the LSU Athletics office at 225-578-8001

Sure. He can just give me a wink emoji if he wants.

I guess I just don’t understand the logistics of how this works.

With the other thread about Clemson and the church, does Dabo call up a recruit to check in then tells him “I think you should pray on this decision. Call up pastor joe at (mega-church.)”

I read the Clemson update. They said the family had concerns with the reports of the Atlanta kids leaving the program and the kid/family reached out to Clemson and 2 other schools basically feeling them out. I can understand any recruit feeling uneasy about what’s going on in the program right and wanting to explore options. I mean, take one look at the rant - everyone wants to can the coaching staff. So not sure what’s so fishy about a kid having doubts about the program anymore than 90% of the fan base as evidenced on the message boards.

Because Clemson has swooped in at the last minute like this year after year.

Wanna know how I know you have no legit sources not named 24/7 or Rivals? Its simple. No one on the coaching staff or a booster is going to tell you we are upping our offer and then be okay as you run to TigerDroppings to blab. Leave the paying players innuendos off the board. It does no one any good besides you and your ego.

Agreed. Why would any LSU insider post something accusing another school of an NCAA violation but at the same time publicly implicate LSU in similar wrongdoing. Maybe it happened. Maybe it didn’t. But if it did, you should probably use better discretion in what you post publicly as a “connected insider” given the NCAA investigations into the program - which recently included paying a player.
