It's been documented that Ahmad Hudson, the 6-7, 220-pound freshman at Ruston High is the son of former LSU Tiger Antonio Hudson.
Since joining the basketball team after winning a state title in football, Hudson has played 12 games now in his HS career. He is currently averaging 14.9 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game.
In his last 7 games, which includes matchups with guys 6-6 (Pineville) and 6-9 (Calvary Baptist), he has averaged 18 points, 14 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Hudson has basketball offers Louisiana Tech and Grambling, but a football offer from LSU.

Is he really 6’7 220? The recruiting sites have him much smaller. That size would almost have him outgrowing football and basketball.

Probably not yet, but he likely will be. He's one of the youngest kids in his class

Come again what? 6’7 would have him in the 99 percentile of height in all of college football right now. If he gets taller, football won’t be an option.
He’s probably not going to outgrow basketball weight wise, but 220 lbs at 14 makes you think he’s going to be north of 240 by the time he’s 18. That would make him one of the heavier basketball recruits in his cycle by that time.

We just went through this with Green 3 years ago.

His size was also exaggerated some. He was being reported as 6’8 even 6’9. The recruiting sites list him at 6’6 and a half and he’s self reported 6’7. Idk what size he was claiming at 14, but most 14 year olds grow more.

Ed "Too Tall" Jones says hold on there cowboy. He was 6'9". Hudson with a basketball background will be a plus in football. There have been taller NFL players and I believe Arkansas had an All American tackle that was 6'10". Best to wait and see how Hudson matures.Hoping the best for the kid.

But Antonio was a quiet leader from what I remember. He just let his game talk. Had to be the safety net at times, one of my favorite lsu guards.

I think there was this guy named Johnson who played for LSU. Supposed to be pretty big.

I watched him play Calvary. Kid is good and will get better. He is still young and learning but kid will be good.

You obviously don't have boys! That ain't how that works, if you are 220# at 14, he is going to be a MONSTER, not 240.

Big Baby gave up football for basketball and that worked out very well.

We had two 6’-8” sophomores on my high school team. They were 6’-8” at 14…and they are 6’-8” at 46-years-old today.
Some folks grow early…some grow later.
Just because your boys grew throughout high school doesn’t mean others will.
