Not as bad as you might think. I've seen worse from coaching staffs. Helping apply local pressure could make her cave into just letting her son go where he wants. There's lots of conflicting information around this recruitment so it does seem like local pressure is a key point here. Them having the hand out is purely speculation she might just feel like that place is not the right place for her son.

There's also other information elsewhere that suggested they took money to make that quick visit to Georgia on top of LSU paying them too for that unofficial. Whatever the reason, she as a parent needs to let her son make the decision himself. This is a bad look on her regardless how you try to take it. She's either being too controlling or having her hand out. Neither is good.

You can also take that OP's post as nonsensical as it might sound as a subtle way to say they're putting their hand out for more which could get them to cry to NCAA if LSU lands them. I don't like this recruitment at all. I think LSU needs to cut this guy loose.

Even if LSU is getting played, what’s the risk on our end? O should definitely keep pursuing the kid cuz he will either come to LSU or he’ll go to USCe. That’s it.

It’s not like we are losing time with other recruits trying to get him, the other recruits have already signed.

He's referring to the NCAA snooping around

Could be simply a case of heavy pressure to sign with USCe locally and the signing event planned yesterday. I have a feeling that both he and his mom are on the same page and choose to not make it more a spectacle than it already is with him announcing LSU.

Muschamp was there and he had multiple teammates signing/PWO and not wanting embarrass the school and Muschamp yesterday. Mom can play the scapegoat and he can sign in a few days once the attention has shifted a bit.

I think he means played as in they're using LSU as leverage to get USC to pony up more benefits. Which is entirely possible, and should be a cause for concern.

Yeah I understand but what are the negatives that will come back on LSU if he is just using us as leverage? I can’t think of any other than he signs with USCe which could happen whether we continue to recruit him or not.

Now if we cut bait and stop recruiting him cuz we think he’s just using us as leverage and it turns out he was not and he was actually conflicted and might have chosen us, then we lost a top 10 prospect we could have had which is a huge negative.

Unless boosters are paying money which I have no reason to believe that. An insurance policy is the only thing that can be leveraged.

Did South Carolina promise something they haven’t delivered????
That would be my guess also. Talk is cheap.

I'm confident LSU knows what they are doing regarding this. They didn't take the bait from M. Jackson's camp. Maybe they are willing to go all in for Burch?

complete utter bullshite...

mom is protecting her cub as she should...she hasnt signed it because she knows he is conflicted.. good for her...
he goes to a private school free of charge that is run by south carolina boosters. enough said... he wants to go to LSU but he also wants to graduate from there and not have SC boosters mess with his shite...

Burch is conflicted.. no doubt... doesnt want to dissapoint friends, but he wants to play at LSU... no doubt in my mind... id say its correct 80/20 LSU flip...

Your theory makes sense and I’d love to believe it but it’s just as contrived as all the theories on the other side so I feel like I can’t fully run with that as the truth.

If your theory is correct then that is completely fricked. I mean LSU lost a few Uhigh kids to Bama and didn’t do anything other than wish them luck. And Uhigh isn’t just in BR, it’s on fricking campus.

that makes no sense.

You can go, but don't go.

It needs to make just a little sense.

Weird how you simultaneously claim to have inside information but not be an insider lol. You literally claimed to have spoken to people inside the SCe program. That would make you an insider.

The even funnier part is that he claims that the holdup is due to a hiccup with the NCAA (after previously stating, definitively, that there was no hiccup). If all this was was a hiccup with the NCAA--and if he heard this directly from USCe staff (as he claims)--then the dudes actually reporting on this would have that same goddamn information.

I was shocked when people bought his big non-apology apology the other day, but luckily he's been unable to avoid bullshitting for even like 3 days, so the goodwill he was inexplicably able to win the other day is gone again.

Yeah his story makes no sense but for some reason I don't think he's a liar. I think he's kind of gullible and kind of a meathead and was actually told the info that he reported here. I think he took the story at face value and didn't even think about it analytically to see if it made any sense.

If it was just a hiccup with the NCAA, there would be no secrecy and reporters would know. Whether its true conflict or they are waiting on the "deliverables", something is definitely up and its not as simple as that story tries to make it sound.
