He was a big time recruit. If it's money hard to believe UGA wouldn't pay up. He did go to 5 different high schools.

Yeah, he would have to get a waiver to play in the SEC this season, and I would imagine those things will be tough to come by. The SEC doesn't want to open that can of worms.

Correct but that does only apply to people who enter the portal in the spring opening of the portal, which this guy was.
As I read the rule, though, I am unclear if someone from the SEC still lingering in the portal from the initial opening after the season could still transfer with immediate eligibility. Perhaps one of the portal gurus could clarify this for me.

Doesn’t seem obvious. He isn’t going to sit for a year so we can’t get him because he can’t transfer to a SEC team as I stated.
