UGA CB Daniel Harris enters portal: “He was next man up”

Freshman CB Daniel Harris entered the portal today and Dawg fans aren’t happy.
Harris was supposed to contend to start as a second year player in Athens. A top 60 recruit on On3 in 2023.
6’2 180 freshman out of the south Florida area.
Rusty Mansell speculates Miami could be a player here.
He’s a what you want them to look like type corner. Ones LSU used to have.
I’m very interested in where Harris ultimately lands.

He’s pretty good. He beat out AJ Harris who was rated higher. It looks like Humpreys is coming back and Ellis Robinson has been lighting it up at practice with his arrival. He would have been battling those two to start if Harris slides to nickel.

Got to at least have a conversation with this kid. I have seen a ton of people argue that it’s DT, but I think CB is our greatest position of need on the team right now.
You can’t just count bodies — have to count bodies likely to contribute in a meaningful way. As it stands, DB room has a lot of development projects & injury rehabs.

Surely Auburn and UF UT will be all-over him. Without a staff overhaul on defense we won't be getting anymore elite DBs

Mannnn I’m still in shock at how we’ve become so damn thin at the CB position. That used to be our best position now it’s the most worrisome
