This is great... I think it means Devonta Lee to LSU now

also to add. A&M believes that Jeffrey Carter 4* Cornerback commit flips to bama too so that means that Christian Williams flip could also happen to us

I think Ika ends up at Oregon or Utah. I don’t think Bama ends up having room.

They’ve got 3 more spots so they very well could.

Unfortunately, they can take 28 this year, so they have 6 more spots left.

How can they take 28? I thought it was a hard cap of 25 and that is set in stone.

No. That's fake news. Teams can still back count.

My understanding is that you can sign 25 in one year. If you sign less than 25, then you can have early enrollees count towards the previous recruiting year.
It looks like Bama had 22 sign last year. This gives them 3 extra for this year or 28 total, unless they signed any transfers. If they signed 3 transfers, then they only have 25 this year.

Carry over from previous season. If you undersign one season you can make that up the next. Saban undersigned last season so he can over sign this season. What that rule does is eliminates programs from not renewing scholarships and filling those spots with new recruits. Which is what a lot of programs were doing. They'd sign 25 and if 3 players didn't turn out to be as good as the thought they just wouldn't renew their scholarships the next season and sign more HS players to fill those scholarships. With the hard cap rule now they can't do that anymore.

I think Saban is taking one more DT and he has eyes on Sopsher. Ika is waiting to see if Sopsher fills that spot or not. If he does then Ika will obviously be going elsewhere. I'm hoping he will go to LSU, but that remains to be seen. IMO Sopsher is all bama. I'd rather have Ika than Sopsher, but one or the other at least. But with Sopsher LSU gives up a scholarship to his brother. With Ika LSU will have that scholarship to give to someone that can be a productive player. Just don't know what Ika will do if Sopsher takes that last DT spot at money train U.
