Run back and try that again. Jared Mitchell played quarterback at Westgate, losing to Acadiana in the semifinals on a missed field goal his senior year. Early Doucet did play at St. Martinville and was a damn good qb in his own right. Him and Narcisse were a scary combo.

My memory is notoriously bad, but I believe I covered a playoff game of Abbeville at Saint Martinville with those guys. Abbeville had LBs Jason Mitchell and Jermaine Wiltz.

This was wayyy back in the early 2000’s. I’m old

In the early and mid-80s, the St Martinville, Cecilia, Breaux Bridge and New Iberia area was full of amazing athletes that went to LSU.
