Please avoid melting down if recruits pick another school. It is a terrible look. Some guys who go other places will have great careers and some will do nothing, but it is a terrible look to melt down and talk shite about 18 year olds picking a college. Celebrate the players coming to LSU. We had a coaching change after 2 6-6 seasons and could end up top 10 not including the portal players (where we killed it). Be happy, baws.
ETA: Several posters bring up a good point. A bunch of these players are going to be recruited again from the portal anyway.

Whatever you miss on, you can fix thru portal, at least you have that option

I’m not saying to make a congrats post to Aaron Anderson. I’m saying making threads on the recruiting board about kids who go other places is kinda sad. I’m certain we all feel the same way about Louisiana guys going to rival schools.

I hear what you're saying and I agree. But with the way recruiting is handled, marketed you have to expect melts. We buy subscriptions to recruiting sites, plug into the twitter, instagram , tik tok and God knows what else to watch these 17 and 18 year olds talk about whatever....I appreciate the calm approach but we have a mix of ages following recruiting. Young and old. The young will melt or be ecstatic, but thats a good thing, thats why its youth! The older guys will handle a commitment or a decommitment calmly, but thats what were supposed to do . Weve seen all the good and bad.

Another thing to remember is that a player who doesn't sign with us may still end up in the purple and gold in a couple of years. Likewise, a player who does sign with us may only last one year. Crazy things happen in the portal whether we like it or not.
