Allen was the best QB in the conference

not really the time to argue this but kelly had 27 TD's passing and 12 int's...along with 10 rushing TD's while Kyle Allen (who is transferring from tamu) had 10 less TD's at 17 and 5 less INT's at 7 and 2 rushing TD's.

Allen wasn't even close to being as good as Kelly this past year...

Well if we're calling QBs that have decent seasons at D1 schools nobodies...then sure.

Maybe I just watch too much college football.

I hope he goes to UNC. He is terrible.

What is the point of posting something like this?

LSU's coaching staff obviously believes he would bring value to the team so they are actively recruiting him. The only thing a post like this can do is subvert those efforts.

If it was a speculation thread over what graduate transfers are available, that's one thing. But the OP reported it's down to us and UNC.

Hope not. I think Harris makes a big improvement next year. Sophomore to Junior season, or really first year starting to second year starting, is a huge move for a QB. I mean look at the improvement Mett made from his first to second year

First, there's a reason he's leaving OU. He couldn't beat out their current QB and he fell off bad last year.

Also, we have to get rid of this "this QB is transferring, he's the best thing since sliced bread" attitude. The rhythm on CLM and Cam's offense is not there as play callers. That affects the develop process.

I would be happy with "he's gonna come in and compete with Harris and either beat him out or push him to be better".

At worst, we get an experienced guy as a solid number 2, allowing Harris to be more of a running threat.

Don't see him translating well under this current coaching staff.

I think he would be better at UNC

It's like he's living off one great game..

I believe Harris would be a tremendous college quarterback at another university. I also believe he still can be at LSU but it takes longer here (junior/senior season) Harris has all the talent and graded out exactly the same as Watson.

LSU could have any top qb and I still believe it takes them longer to succeed here. Mett wasn't even good until his senior season with an entire NFL offense behind him.

Mett's junior stats aren't much different than Jennings first year starting and Harris first year starting. He had a slightly better completion percentage. All three avg somewhere around 11tds and 5-7 ints first year starting (and both were in the system a year prior)

It's the system and coaching trust.. It's a culture right now..
