Yes we are firmly in the hunt for Reid. UNC is making a strong, late push.

Supposedly his soon to be step-father has been shopping him around. The guy was bought out of his contract at UMass. He brought like 7 players, including Mitchell, with him from a private school in Conn, when he was conveniently hired as an assist coach at Mass. He was the HC at the private school. Mitchell is a terrific player. But if somehow this is a package deal w/the step-father its gonna backfire. There are other deeper issues here that we dont need at LSU.

That's in addition to O'Neal, LeBlanc, and others.

If we get who we are rumored to get LeBlanc may be pushed out.

Yep. Will Wade is our coach. We have a shot at anyone he wants. He’s not gonna be begging dudes from the band to come play like Jones had to lmao

JJ is gone!

JJ had a shot at anyone he wanted. Dude from the band was better than Gray.

Which sucks because he was solid all year and O'Neal sadly just can't stay healthy.

With Kentucky taking the 2 Illinois coaches, maybe that pushes Tre & step dad there? Just curious...

That would stink because if Leblanc transfers again he has to sit out another year. So he loses a year of eligibility. Unless he gets a waiver but since he has already transferred "home" it doesnt seem like that would happen.

I hope it doesn't happen but the numbers are getting tight especially if Days comes back.

He plays his role. He's not a scorer, he's there for his rebounding, defending and a little physical play when needed. Those are his strengths, he's our Dennis Rodman.

Wade and Nickleberry are close so I don't see Nickleberry leaving unless for HC or top assistant job at like a blue blood.

I don't see LeBlanc being pushed out, Madison Prep is a pretty good BR pipeline (Martin, Sampson, LeBlanc) and you don't want to mess that up plus he is long and rangy which Wade typically likes. I think Gray is first candidate to be pushed out and then possibly Wilkinson.

Wilkinson will be here. His name was one of the names mentioned as young players crucial for development by Wade in his recent interview. Wade also mentioned Gaines and Fudge. The interview is on Culotta's radio show which can be found under the podcast heading on Jordy's website.

Except 2/3 of the games he was in foul trouble. He misses point blank layups (some of which came back to essentially lose us games), he gets overpowered around the goal, and gets beat by guards. He was probably the biggest letdown of the entire season considering he was supposed to play a huge role, and he virtually did nothing. We were horrendous on D and he showed NOTHING of being a good defensive player.

With that said, I don't want to see him go anywhere because I do have some hope for him, but man he looked lost and outmatched most of the season.

Exactly. Anyone lauding Leblanc for his defense, rebounding, and toughness is just parroting all of the talking points from before the season and didn’t actually watch him play.
