He's probably transfering because Clemson signed the #1 SLB in the country and the number 25 overall prospect. So as good as Jones was last year, there is a good chance that he'll lose his starting spot. Considering how weak we are currently at LB, I'll take Clemson's future 2nd stringer.

Cox wasn't/isn't 6'4" standing on a stump, pard.

Cox might be a few inches taller but he wasn’t the most physical linebacker out there. I think Jones could absolutely take the position vacated by Cox’s departure. They definitely look like comparable players.
Like I said somewhere else...too good to be true for us to bag this dude.
One other thing: I think we will fare better with White, Webb, Sampah, than others around here. A year stronger with a room headed by a full time in the room Coach. I won't be surprised if Clark plays like a different guy, either.

Correct and 3 or 4" and higher weight, while keeping mobility is better, or do you disagree, assclown
My point is that our safeties are that big.

Their average “per recruit” rank is better than ours. They also don’t have critical holes such as 2 OL and 1 CB in their class. They just take smaller classes than we do.

Does this guy have any interest in LSU?

I agree. I put the LB struggles mostly on Pelini and his poor teaching of his scheme.

Nope those 2 concepts aren’t really compatible

Hearing we are going to land Jones.

Kinda hard to teach scheme from the fairway at U club.

I definitely agree it’s way too early to write off Webb, White, and Sampah. They’ve only played one weird season as true freshmen with a god awful defensive coordinator and linebacker coach. Christ Pelini was awful.
A finish of BTJ and Jones and leaving 1 spot open is a home run finish.

We cant take Grad Transfers because of Cox
What am I missing? What does Cox have to do with us taking grad transfers this year?

Sheesh. What are we waiting for? Leaving Clemson so barring Gumpland it's OU or us as best opportunity for Natty.
OU? I would say that OSU would have a much better chance at a Natty than OU...but, we get your point.

Mike jones should be their first call.
Hybrid linebacker.
Just wondering if anyone called 281-330-8004 yet?

He's listed as 6'3" and 6'4" depending on where you look. Now, I haven't personally measured him...but, have you?

Agreed. Pelini was absolutely terrible. I don’t think that could be overstated enough
