I saw his brother's highlights yesterday and he is a dog. Just put him on the field somewhere and let him go. It made it even sweeter when I saw the high school was the same as the Johnson's. Cool to see this team and new culture come together.

It’s part of the SI scouting report on him.

Oh now i see, this write up says high IQ. Let’s see what he’s got, we need bodies everywhere right now and this guy showed he could play as a freshman

The assumption is likely based on the fact that UVA has higher academic entrance requirements than the ACC Minimum, which is higher than the D1 minimum, to get a Scholarship.

Michigan took the Center from UVA, probably similar as Michigan has requirements higher than the min B1G standards. They are very limited on what portal guys they can take in given what credits they allow to transfer in, etc.

did you even read my post and link ?

Instincts: High-level football IQ. Plays fast, decisive, and aggressive against both run and pass. Sheds would-be blockers with ease when flowing to ball; active arms, hands while engaged. Extremely comfortable dropping into coverage. Anticipatory ball skills as wide receiver translate to defensive backfield.

West was also offered by: Duke, Vanderbilt, Stanford, UVA (signed), and Boston College

Virginia fans were upset he’s transferring, so I think that’s a good indication he’s a good player, or at least has good upside.

They need at least 1 immediate starter at linebacker.

He seems like the type of dude that gives 110% on every play.

His younger brother Whit is 6-2-190 has a ranking of 0.867. Here is what I found interesting, he ran a 12.21 100 Meters. I am not a tack expert but I follow it on the perimeter but a HS track guy that runs 10.5-11.0 100M is a serious track athlete that is a D1 potential sprinter. Your 11-11.5 guys are D2, D3 and NAIA track Scholarship athletes. He High jumped 5-6 consistently as a Sophomore in HS. D1 is > 6.4.

So that tells me his Brother has some twitch and explosion, etc.

Those are pretty meh track results, but he was only a sophomore and we have no idea what his form was like.

In any case, not every player has to be a superstar. CBK will be judged on the field.
