We landed Hampton, Lee, Parker, Ward, Fonua, and Little. Not a bad haul in my opinion.

We lost on one Amite guy.

Seems we're crying when overall we picked up some decent guys, am I right?

I think it was a solid day. We missed on the DL but had backup plans in place and got them signed.

Parker is big bonus. I hope he makes it to campus.

Solid class but some more highly rated DL could have helped, simple as that.

A win. Missing out on one guy who has only fallen in the rankings over the last six months doesn't torpedo the entire class.

I'm not upset at losing Rodney. I call it a win.

The class overall is a big win. The biggest area of need was RB and we got two really good ones. Second area of need was DB (see the Fiesta Bowl) and we did really well. Third was OL, did okay with four signees three of which are highly rated Fourth was DL. We whiffed on the big name in state guy but we got some solid players. The rest was gravy.

I agree with you. While it would have been nice to add more quality and quantity along the defensive line, this is a class that almost every other program in the nation would kill for. Unfortunately, the nagging nabobs of negativity (historical reference - Spiro Agnew) will be pointing out that the Gumps are not one of those programs.

It’s a win. We missed on one guy. Oh well. Our class next year will just have to be heavily loaded with DL.

We had 4 big DL targets we pushed for the last few months:

Pickering - supposedly bought and paid for at Moo St
B. Young - already committed to Bama and they made the numbers work for him to stay
Moore - Had a good shot and he weirded out during the visit (he'll be interesting to follow) and chose Auburn
Ish - Casualty of Saban and the Amite barber

We really needed to get at least 1, preferably 2/4. We need our DEs not named Fehoko or Lawrence to develop this season and hopefully Logan stays as a SR or we will be in trouble in 2020 with our DEs. We have good 2020 prospects in state, but no guarantee they go LSU and/or can play as FR.

WIN!!! How can you be #3 (Rivals) and #5 (24/7) and not consider that a win? Individual players may seem important, and they are part of the equation, but the collective talent is the important thing. DL in Louisiana for 2020 is loaded and we already have a start!!

Please stop down playing this because it didn't go our way DL,RB,DB,and OL were equal huge needs. We didn't get the OT's that we needed and we landed one DT and two OLB's. That's huge misses

I think it is a win as long as Hampton doesn't go the MLB route and Parker makes the grades.

We did well. But not great.

You won’t see anyone here tellng us that the class we signed will be the one that definotley beats Alabama.

Parker
Hampton
Lee
Ward
Little
Fonua

Are all great gets. Sucks to lose Sopsher, but I’m not losing sleep over it. I can’t call a day a push or a loss when you sign 4 - 4* and lose 1 4*

They will have 4 freshman OT's on the roster next year. I mean melt away but the OT freakout is completely unwarranted especially if Parker makes the grades.

Edit: I also count like 4 potential OLB's in our system in this class...

Wrong - it is a loss. You needed more DL and got none of the big targets. That is a loss, period. This class has 4 DL in it and one was a "we'll get to you if we don't land someone else" guy.
