He was in the same transfer class as Malik Hornsby (Ark QB) and he beat him out in spring practice. How is the coach a POS when it’s his job to create competition to make everyone and the team better?

3440 yards 67% cmp 24 TDs 8 ints with a 5 rush TDs.

In the 11 years they have been in the FBS, they have had only one winning season prior to this. It was literally a decade ago. They won 2, 3, or 4 games every year for the past 8 years. You have a QB come in and put up great numbers, gives your program the best season in their FBS history, and you immediately go grab another QB that started at the P5 level, who only lost his job to injury? What is that telling your starter? How can you use the situation last year and compare it to this year? They have garbage for years before Finley got there.

I admit, I was doing too much calling him a POS, but man he just might have screwed up big time..

He was doing well at Texas State. Feel like he should have just stuck it out there...

apparently he announced he was returning like a week ago and the head coach brought in a QB from Arizona the week after (presumably without discussing it with him) and he dipped

Matt Rhule already told everyone the market for a good transfer QB is $1.0M - $2.0M.

Rhule was trying to get boosters to pony up for Raiola. That rant had little to do with transfers.

LOL. You think he should’ve trusted a thrice transfer to stick around? That’s not the way anymore.

I also saw that Jared Small is transferring from Tulane. How many years has he played college ball? I think he was at LSU for six years.

Orgeron and Harsin put him in horrible situations but he persevered. He needs to choose his coach and scheme wisely here and get paid.
I have always appreciated his talent and believe he has a shot at playing professional football. He's one to root for.

Hate to, but he just doesn't have it. Canon arm but not a high-level QB...

??? It was out of necessity, but he got 5 full SEC games under Orgeron without using a minute of eligibility. That was opportunity and experience almost no QB gets.

He chose to move on because of the promises Auburn gave him. But had a chance to win the starting job the next year once Brennan got injured again.
