Drew Brees is one of the 4 or 5 best QBs of the last 15-20 years

Right. There's no correlation between Kelly and Brees other than just because someone is athletic, don't assume "he can't be a drob back QB". There are lots of mobile pocket passers. It's just that the pass first is a skill LSU should be looking for, with the ability to escape.
Not have an offense with one receiver on the field with a single branch route tree and expect the guy to excel.

The point is that Drew is clearly the exception and not the rule.
When someone describes a QB as "athletic" I think we all know what kind of mold they likey fit into.
Of the 3 QBs Les has had success with here, not one of them could be described first as "athletic"

One of these non-"athletic" guys had 100 rushing attempts and four rushing tds in his final year.

Really want nothing to do with this kid. He's not better than Harris, maybe not even an upgrade over Jennings, and he's a colossal jackass to boot.
If he didn't have the past issues with teammates and coaches I'd say we need all the depth we can get, but I just don't see him fitting into our QB group and being content with providing depth.

263 for 400, 65.8%, 3472 yards, 8.7 YPA, 42 TD, 8 INT
57 carries, 413 yards, 4 TD, 7.2 YPC
That is through 11 games, so he is throwing it 36 times a game and carrying it about 5 times a game.
But it seems we haven't offered him, and maybe because of his attitude...it's pretty poor.
