No one has said he isn’t great. You’re the one who compared the dude to one of the greatest college QB’s of all time lol. You’re the one that should be doing the logical examples of such.

Dumb. If you drop that much for a QB you do it on a proven transfer portal QB and even then that's pretty insane money. No HS kid is worth 12 million lol even if he turned out to be a stud. You have no way of knowing that for sure. That money is reserved for proven NFL talent.

The reason is you, and his family, think he’s worth a team paying an absolute fortune for, but he’s playing bad competition and it’s probably going to take a while for him to adjust (if he can) when he does make it. In your outrageous scenario, you give him almost 20% of our NIL pool to do what in year 1?

Let’s get a high school kid that has proven little enough to retire for his “potential” …

Not saying when give him $12 million but just for the sake of understanding, let’s just assume we gave him $12 million like Underwood got.

Wouldn’t it be over the course of his LSU career? So as far as the NIL budget goes, it’s not just $12 million straight out of the 2027 bucket, its $3-4 million out of each years bucket.

I could be completely wrong on how this shite works

You are exactly right. Its 12 mil over 4 years. If you leave, you dont get the rest. And Google says Underwood got 12 mil for 4 years. He was the #1 recruit in the country. We offered 6 mil. So tacobell wants to double the offer for a #1 on this guy. Lunacy.

LSU should steer clear of this kid

“Steer clear” and “throw 12 million at” are not quite the same.

because the kid that went to Michigan underwhelmed as a true freshman LSU should steer clear of this kid in our back yard?
No one said that.

They just disagreed with your ridiculous price tag.

His talent will draw this type of price tag. The truth of the matter lies in if LK and staff believe he can be the type of QB to lead them to a deep run in the playoffs. My only point is that you are getting him at value for 3-4 MM a year if this leads to that type of production. Do not think because the kid at Michigan got a slow start that he is not worth what Michigan is paying. That young man may just develop into the type of player that is worth the money (personally I do not believe he will there under that staff). Could EH develop into a national championship and Heisman winning QB under LK and staff? absolutely, and I think because of that he is worth that figure. I certainly understand a lot of people's view of not paying an unproven high school QB that type of money. My trust in LK's evaluation of QB's is what makes me at ease with stating this if he believes the young man to be of that value.
