Coach shared Burrow's Heisman celebration with many targeted recruits on social media, the significance of this can not be overstated. Live interaction between recruits and Coach O and the Heisman Trophy winner who received the most votes ever. My money is on Joe sealing the deal.

Sure its a neat story, but kids are too sophisticated to be swayed by someone else's trophy. They make their decisions for themselves and their family.

I will add that anyone committing because Burrow won the Heisman made a very immature decision and will likely not be mature enough for a school like LSU.

Do any of you think for yourselves????

Burrow became the ultimate ambassador for LSU with his moving and classy acceptance speech. His admiration and affection for Orgeron was a great benefit for LSU.

While Burrow winning the Heisman in and of itself is not the sole cause of a recruit committing to or maintaining his commitment to LSU, it helps. As does the award Chase won and the many other awards won.

Success and winning helps attract recruits. Maybe you are the one not thinking in misinterpreting the original post.

You deserve a ban. Some of the dumbest and most negative crap I’ve seen on here. And that’s saying a lot.

This is how the New York Times described LSU's offense while reporting on the Heisman ceremony.

You are a jackass if you don’t recognize the human condition or optics of that situation. That portion of the speech about Coach O will help for years and solidify what he is trying to build. If you think kids aren’t swayed by that kind of sincerity, or at the very least their parents aren’t, then I feel sorry for you my friend.

What JB winning the heisman shows is that LSU has everything you need to accomplish your goals both individually and as a team while doing it in a family environment. Its also just the beginning....

You're not nearly as smart as you think you are. If you don't think the past weeks awards have influence ob recruits you are deluded. Also, implying that such influence would reflect on a top recruits maturity and a ability to perform in Tiger stadium is, well, just ignorant

So, you don't think Saban showing those NC rings to recruits helps?

I mean, they didn't win them

You're absolutely right. A kid coming to LSU that was going to be an UDFA and is now likely the #1 draft pick and a Heisman winner would be a stupid reason to come to LSU. Watching a 3 star RB (Clyde) and 2 star WR (Jefferson) hit draft gold at LSU should have no effect. Watching a team and coach develop a program that is the talk of the nation, including draft scouts should have no effect.

Congrats on being one of the most ignorant posters on the RB.

It was more what he said, how he said it, who he said it about and his conveyance of the Tiger Way of doing things than it was about the award. If you are to shallow and jaded to appreciate that, mores the pity.
