LSU’s award haul this year in combination with an SEC Title and playoff birth are a clear indication that there is nothing out of reach if you come to LSU. It’s easy to say that. Real results speak for themselves.

Most kids at the top level of recruiting want to know they are in position to compete for titles, build a name and to get to the next level. Having a guy win the Heisman and 4 other awards on the way to the playoffs says something recruits want to hear.

You are just a Rant parrot throwing shite at everything you can on every board here.

By your theory, recruiting is unnecessary then, right? Schools should just sit back, try to win some games and see which high school kids seek them out. Then make offers based on who shows interest. Seems like a good approach.

Will the events the OP was talking about make a huge wave in recruiting? No. But it’s the many little nuances like this one put together that help with successful recruiting. If you don’t think the recruits that got some face time video action from the heisman after party got a kick out of it and added a little excitement factor for them about LSU, then you sir are a complete and total dumbass.

Wish it could have been shared with Tiger fans.

Sure its a neat story, but kids are too sophisticated to be swayed by someone else's trophy. They make their decisions for themselves and their family.

I will add that anyone committing because Burrow won the Heisman made a very immature decision and will likely not be mature enough for a school like LSU.

Do any of you think for yourselves????

You couldn't be more spot on.

You got downvoted to oblivion because this thread was meant to be a hype thread and you rained on it with logic and reality. Props for thinking for yourself as you said.

Your schtick got old a couple of years ago. Can you at least stick to the rant for a while?

Don’t need the hype, the Heisman is real, LSU’s dynamic offense and it’s design are real, designed to seek mismatches in the defense. Will be the same threat next year to defenses. You are obviously clueless or trashy troll!

The comment misses the point. Whether it matters or not we see and listen to Saban showing recruits his championship rings. We here recruits say they went to Bama to win championships and develop for the NFL.

LSU has recruited and rebuilt the roster to go head to head with Bama. This recruiting cycle we have continued that.

Bama has a roster with three #1 classes plus what they get this year. We have a top 20 class and two top ten classes plus what we get this year. Bama loses 10 to 15 guys to the NFL we lose 8 to 12 to graduation or NFL.

The awards and wins and Orgeron personality/culture could push this class and next year from great to historical.. anyway my two cents

You are a jackass if you don’t recognize the human condition or optics of that situation.

Winning the Heisman, like winning the National Championship, certainly has a positive effect on recruiting. But the former, unlike the latter, has a very small effect.

LSU fans are maudlin about Joe's Heisman, but it's not a bigger deal around the rest of the country than the each of the last ten Heismans. When Johnny Manziel won the Heisman did Aggie start recruiting lights out?

Coach O even said it would have a positive affect on recruiting, but I'm sure he's just being immature and not thinking for himself.

I think it should be taken as wow coach cares about me and is giving me attention even while one of the best ever wins the highest honor. He loves to recruit man and he loves him some LSU. He mentions recruiting all the time and he is getting after it right now with all the attention.
