Northwestern in Miami a couple years ago. Also some of the Long Beach Poly teams had a ridiculous amount of NFL talent.

99 West Monroe had 8 guys on D sign. Bradie James, Jason Ledeaux, Brian West...DB's went to ULM, and Tramision Davis was playing FS/WR went to tech.

I was a sophomore and chill'n on the sidelines watching them crush in the first round of the playoffs. It was cold and a long ride home.

Didn't that Helix team also have Alex Smith as their QB?

The 1999 Madison Central team from here in Mississippi won the 5A State Championship and had 5 players on that team who winded up in the NFL.

WR- Mike Espy (Ole Miss) Washington Redskins
OL- Chris Spencer (Ole Miss) Seattle Seahawks
K- Steven Gostowski (Memphis) New England Patriots
DE- Parys Harrelson (Tennessee) San Francisco 49ers
OL- Will Buckles (Ole Miss) Tampa Bay Buccaneers

They also had about 5 other guys play D-1 football and even more play JUCO ball.

I think they sent 9 seniors to Miami in one class.

The 1990 Ruston team was loaded with major D1 players. Probably the most complete team I've ever seen, with 1998 WMHS a close second

May be Desoto High School in Dallas where Evan Washington played. Reports claim Desoto has 18 D-1 players on the team this year.

1988 Dallas Carter Cowboys.. Jessie Armstead ( Miami) Robert Hall ( Texas Tech) LaShai Maston ( Baylor) Clifton Abraham ( Florida St) Derrick Evans ( Tennessee) Anthony Allen ( N. Texas) Gary Edawrds ( Houston) Greg Hill( Texas A&M) and many more. 15 SR's from Carter's team signed D-1 scholarships.

Evans and Edwards never went to college as the went to prison for robbing a video store.

Armstead, Abraham, MAston, Hill all went on to play inthe NFL( Evans was a shoe in to do the same)

And exceptional athletes. Fifteen of the 36 seniors earned major-college scholarships.

I watched this team play my hometown team of Marshall in the state semi-finals, both were undefeated and they thru a pass to Armstead to win 22-18 with :03 left. Armstead had not played offense all year long until that one play. Marshall had a few names LSU fans will recognize, Odell Beckham RB, Stan Thomas NG both played at LSU and QB Benny Valentine for Marshall played at Tulane, LB Tremaine Green played for Oklahoma, CB Alfred Jackson played for Ark. Marshall ended up with 9 D-1 kids.

A quote from one of the Carter Studs after playing Marshall and Beckham..

A: It did. We had the utmost respect for Marshall after that game, Odell Beckham especially. He was a man compared to us. It was like he was a man playing with little boys. It was unreal.

Just a great game with unreal talnet.

Class of 99, team was 98. They also had Rodney Reed, Andrew Whitworth, Kenny Robinson-ULM, David Toler-LC, Marcus Turner-McNeese, Lane Laborde-ULM Baseball, Jay Aulds-ULM Baseball, Maxie Causey-La Tech, Chad Grubbs-LC, Brooks Greer-ULM/LSU on offense. Don't want to leave anyone off, but I'm sure I did.

This was the best team I've ever seen. I played those guys when they were sophomores in the quarter finals. They won state that year as well. I think they had about 16 D1 signees. Rodney Young and Roymond Malcom were the headliners. Malcon was starting over Steven Davis as a freshman at AU and blew his knee out. He was never the same.
