I can't remember a year where we signed so few top in state players and it didn't bite us. That just shows you how incredible this class really is.

Gary Patterson at TCU is a smart recruiter. He always racks up in that second tier of Louisiana athletes. It definitely helps to not have to really battle LSU for them. He wins some recruiting battles against the middling SEC schools though.

This year we got everyone we wanted in state other than Van Pran.

In hindsight of departures I wonder if Cooper should’ve been a take, but we’ll be fine.

What’s the story with Kyle Edwards? Why would Alabama want him, when I never really heard his name as a target for us?

Losing these instate kids to our rivals does not sit well with me. I know we have had a great recruiting year.

Still can’t get over not signing Major Burns.

Different evaluators make different evaluations is the simplest explanation. But it also keeps them with a foot in the door with one of the River Parishes strongest schools.

Only 1 signed with Bama. Nicky losing his LA pipeline for talent.

2017 was the last class we signed that few top LA kids. To be specific, only 3 of the top 10 kids signed with LSU. That class worked out for us pretty damn good.

Is there any explanation for why Koy Moore's stats seem so abysmal? 600 yards and 2 TDs sounds kind of low for a high major D1 recruit. Was Rummel just more of a running team this season?

Wasn’t safety a position of need for us this year? I’m just curious how this works. Why do we let an on campus top 10 safety go to Georgia when he wanted to go to LSU?

Toles will be good. Malcolm Green was a true flip to Clemson, so that hurt. They didn't view burns as the type of safety they wanted from what I understand. I think they even viewed him as more of an outside CB.

I really hate we didn’t take Jalen Lee and Major Burns, especially Lee. We do have guys that signed at their position that are more highly ranked but I wish room could’ve been made for at least Lee. Dude will be an all SEC player and play on sundays.

Can’t complain with the outstanding class we have though. Staff did a great job

I would have like Cooper and Van pran from that list. We'll be fine without the others.

We recruited Burns to play CB.

The talent in the state of La is insanely good. I wish LSU could just get the top 20 from La every year and supplement with a few need positions from other states.

LSU would always be at or near the top.

Know it is not that easy...... just wish it could work that way!

So, 4 of 12. Seems we missed several good ones. But,

Are Moore's numbers correct? Two touchdowns and a career high 594 yards.
