I love when people say others "know so much" and then spout off about what they think like it's any different.

I'm going with WR because
1) I think we could use a big WR
2) You said it, most 6-4 guys aren't CB, just the percentages
3) LSU Roster which I admit isn't always gospel:
Tharold Simon WR 6-4 185 Fr. HS Eunice, La. (Eunice HS)

he still a big if as the ncaa is more likely than not going to flag him for raising his score 5 points or more.

with that said, if he is on campus and qualified in august, i have a feeling he will be , by the time he leaves, the top recruit/athlete signed in this class.

i see a ed reed type player in this kid. love his talent. big, fast, physical, plays with a chip on his shoulder.

he is/was a decently rated kid, however, i really think he's an elite talent that was under rated.

Except that he's about 5 inches taller than Reed...

DRC is a big CB in the NFL and is good.

NFL WR's are bigger on average than NCAA WR's, so a bigger corner can hang with them. Tharold's legs are too long, and his stride is also too long to have a quicker change of direction than the WR's he will face in the SEC. A cornerback must have a quicker change of direction than the player he is facing because he is "reacting." That's why most corners are 5'9 to 6'0 because their leg length results in a shorter stride, and lower center of gravity. Add in loose hips and speed and voilà.

It doesn't change the fact a tall guy can play CB.

Can? Absolutely, anyone can. There's nothing I see in Simon that says he'll be a better corner than a WR or Safety.

Did he raise it more than 5 points? He had a 14 the first time?

Yeah, it will get flagged, but this one isn't like he went up 8 to 10 pts that's way more of a difference than a his score.

I wouldn't think we will have anything to worry about.

Just got word from a source that Tharold's score will be invalidated.

The story I was told was that his answers were too close, actually my source told me "identical," to someone sitting near him.

He will retake in June.

Supposedly, Tharold made like a 27 in one part of the test and 24ish on another. This resulted in a composite of 19 when coupled with his "normal" scores of 12-13. I'm guessing, if he cheated, he only cheated on a couple of sections.

I'm sure CUM has already contacted them to check into it.

Moral of the story. If you are going to cheat then cheat the first time you take the ACT.

Tory James had a decent NFL career, most of it being after a serious knee injury.

This is unexpectedly good news, if true. So how many of the other 2010 signees are still not qualified & who are they?
