Never was impressed by either tbh.
LSU seemed somewhat desperate to even entertain the thought of such a package deal. I was always against it.
So thankful LSU is in such better shape now.
I'm sorry, but the biggest recruiting tool is winning. People debate it or say it's not, but to me it is.
LSU can pull elite recruits wherever they want as long as they keep winning.

Winning helps a ton, but the facts prove this is wrong. For example: LSU was a dumpster fire when Saban got here, and he immediately started recruiting at a high level. Then he did the same at Bama. The recruits were pouring in BEFORE the winning started.
You can win all you want, but when I come in, with my 5-7 record and twice the cash, the recruits will come to me like Quinn the Eskimo.
